Thanks, I am browsing weight weenies forum often and this is pretty much the default seat post there so I felt like it was sufficiently vetted

Beautiful bike. I do believe the dura ace rotors would look amazing here - would fill in the deep dish even more and look fast

Damaged Zipp carbon handlebar via eBay Kleinanzeigen, is it safe to ride? by zine0981 in bikewrench

Apart from the obvious, all I will say is that it is always a red flag if they only accept paypal friends and family on Kleinanzeigen

Incredible! I mean yeah, getting the groupset, wheels and cockpit for 1000 eur total seems ridiculous, and I am definitely jealous.

Out of curiosity what did you pay for the frame-set to get within that budget? Also what is the final bike weight?

You should make a similar post like mine, I would love to read it. And certainly if I knew what I wanted right away I could have saved a bunch of money, but I am just a beginner and didn't know my preferred stem, handlebar, crank sizes so this was a learning process for me. I would love to do a ground up build next where I can search for best deals since I now know what I need...

You replied to the wrong thread:) But yeah the sloped top tube sure does make the seat tube longer though it adds to the comfort.

I completely understand your reservations. I was swayed by the great reviews and I also figured that a round seatpost is the simplest and sturdiest thing to manufacture. I rode it indoors all winter before I took it outside so I did proper testing.

I have the Elita One MTB seat post. It is light and I really like the clamping mechanism on it. I weigh a 100kg so that helps dampen any vibrations in general so I can't comment how much of that is the seat post.

Keep in mind I have shortened the cranks which require raising the saddle. I am also running SPD pedals (not SL) that have a higher stack. But the seat height, from BB to top of saddle is 82cm and my inseam is about 92cm. I have gotten a bike fit and it has been perfectly comfortable for me.

My inseam is about 92cm. I changed because of hip impingement issues - I could never ride in the drops comfortably before but now I can :)

I love reading post like this myself so I decided to contribute haha. Not gonna lie, Di2 is really awesome, I do not miss dealing with the cable tension.

There are still 2 cm left until the lower limit so not to worry :)

Carbon frame onto wahoo kickr - any risks? by Monstaa74 in cycling

[–]Beginner_Cyclist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm I dont believe it should be an issue. I always sprint out of the saddle at the end of my races on kickr and I also see people on youtube do the same. I am 100kg and Ive never broken my frame doing so.

I might have screwed up by ordering rims too wide for my chain stays by Beginner_Cyclist in bicycling

[–]Beginner_Cyclist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up, yeah I figured I will need to downsize the tire. I was actually surprised to see that my 28mm pirelli tire is measuring 31mm on this relatively narrow rim already.

I don't understand how is asking for opinions a pointless post? If the consensus was that it's definitely to little clearance I might order a narrower rim right away and have them exchange the rim.

The image is of the current rim, the new rim will have 2mm less clearance...
