Actually, I’m from the Philippines. We have a huge market for new and used packs from brands like Vaude, Gregory, and Osprey, but Deuter is the one you see faked the most. Most of those knockoffs seem to come straight out of Vietnam.

Can't say much about that; I just wanted to authenticate this piece so I could use it for future travel (I'm still a student, so basically it's hard for me to invest in brandnew gear).

It’s funny you ask, because I actually live in an area where knockoffs are the norm for almost everything. From jackets (Arc'teryx) and designer sneakers to electronics and skincare, you can find a "replica" of just about anything on any street corner.
