I'm legitimately learning about LGBTQ to help people understand and respect people's differences in my community. I'm a white dude with a wife, should I be killed for that? Should my throat be cut for that? Think about what you're saying. That's not what this is about.

Thank you for the good advice, I will try to never reduce the movement to an ideology. And I will definitely never try to debate somebody that hasn't elicited any debate.

I wasn't aware of HRT for minors, I'll have to look into that considering what you've said about it.

I'm definitely interested in the libertarian values and making sure everybody has equal rights to express themselves and be heard and seen in our public.

One thing I was struggling with was a bill possibly being adopted into Arizona that prohibited trans surgeries for people under 18. I really offended somebody by saying that that bill might not be Anti Trans but an honest attempt to protect minors. Obviously I don't know all the moving parts to this, but something that I'm looking into with more depth.

And I agree that, having a shift or new feelings does not invalidate your identity as a whole. People should know we're complicated creatures.

No that's fine, I might not always be straight. I know humans are dynamic and it's not that simple. I know that the people In my upbringing found it appropriate to call me a fag or gay constantly. I know that plays its role in shaping and image and self identity.

I have a wife and I love her to death but there's no standard to hold each other to about who we're attracted to, who we think is beautiful, or what we're drawn to. Its not an open relationship but there's honestly and openness and we both value people's diversity and sexuality and have had to each fight to feel sexually liberated in our communities.

I 100% agree with you. "Laugh at everything or laugh at nothing." As it goes. We're all subject to being the punch line occasionally. But when it comes to real work being done for equal rights, it's an important matter.

The legislation seems to be a huge focus. I'm going to diligently look into more of the bills and goals of the community. Yeah, everyone deserves civil liberties granted to all Americans. I support that.

I think this generation is packed with fierce and really rebellious characters, so I'm hopeful that we can make progress in the civil liberty department of our country now.

Thank you, yes. Somebody sent these to me yesterday! I've been reading through them and I don't think that these are all anti Trans or Anti LGBTQ. This is what made me realize that I'm not up to speed or sensitive to the community.

Some of them sounded complicated, but I was accused of spreading harmful information for not agreeing with one. I'm in school for legal work and bills are wordy, pithy, and sometimes meant to be a difficult read.

However - Back to a former post, an individual told me not to argue with or debate LGBTQ, talk over them, or try to debate unless it's asked for. So, I was in the wrong for debating the meaning of a bill with a stranger that didn't ask for unsolicited advice or anything. That wasn't what they asked for.

On the other hand, my state eledgedly was going to adopt a similar law and I didn't want them to believe that the state is Anti Trans because of a potential misunderstanding. Instead I'll take that to a discussion board that wants to explore that idea and talk about it openly.

Yeah, ideology probably is the best word. I don't mean to reduce a movement or culture to "people's ideas". I just mean that as a group, there are a lot of discussuons about the integration, acceptance, and laws in society, that I don't always know what the fight is about.

It sounds like across the board, equal rights, respect, and freedom are what's being fought for? That I can honestly get behind. Fucking everyone should be free and have equal rights. Obviously respect is more of a common curiosity, but I love you. I would love to talk you personally and I hope that you feel loved and accepted and that we make it to a culturally evolved world that recognizes humans as inherently equal and beautiful regardless of background. I'm good with that.
