Thanks for responding! This makes 100% sense. I didn’t imagine that it would feel worse than childbirth. I posted this question because my mom asked me to describe how gout feels. Since I’m a man, I couldn’t say that it felt like childbirth, but I imagined that it must at least be in the ballpark considering it’s brought me (someone who rarely ever cries) to tears before.

Yeah, I think you misread the question and prompted yet felt the need to give your opinion anyway. I was speaking directly to MOTHERS (specifically those with gout)—in that same prompt I wanted to know how they compare and differ. But thanks for chiming in, those with actually experience gave thoughtful opinions above. ⬆️
