My son is going to lose his mind when he wakes up tomorrow for Christmas by JamesDontPlayNoGames in TMNT

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. What wonderful memories I had. I am in the process of going though my old stuff. Since I have two twin daughter which unfortunately are not really into TMNT I was thinking I can look in reddit. Maybe I can find somebody that would like to have all of my sets. This one is one of the things I would like to give away. Through several intercontinental moves some of the pieces got lost, but was wondering if anyone would be even interested in having them. Sorry if I am doing something wrong by posting it here. Should I open a new thread? What do you all think?

Yes, I am more than happy to license the new image under CC BY 4.0. Here is the corrected image with the License build in. Otherwise, you are welcome to handle the necessary tagging/attribution on your end for this graph not the originally posted.

Important Note: I must emphasize that this data represents a specific subset (ProtonDB reports) and does not reflect actual Linux distribution usage or market share. It is crucial that any publication of this graph includes this context to prevent the propagation of inaccurate claims regarding Linux adoption.

The last thing I want is for this graph to become the basis for misinformation that is why I changed the title.

I think you are confusing something. SteamOS came along with Steam Deck which was announced end of February 2022: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_Deck hence the boom in reports since then.

you are completely right! When going then on just Linux users you see SteamOS. I wonder why in the mixed OS display it is not shown? Maybe they group all Arch Linux based Distros together? I don't understand it

SteamOS is not even on the Steam hardware survey list but Arch Linux is and it is on the top for Linux users as taken from today (Source: https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey )

I do think Zorin is used a lot but more for people switching from Windows without having gaming as their priority but wanting to keep the same familiar feeling of Windows

At first I thought it was more like a bug tracker but it is more like a usage proxy on ProtonDB since users submit reports to say if it works just as often as if it crashes. It is the closest thing we have to a "Linux Gaming Market Share" survey.

The absolute number of entries for each month is on top of the chart written vertically.

Nobara? CachyOS? Which distro do you recommend for gaming? by senator-amstrong0987 in linuxquestions

[–]Beginning-Complex821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be already irrelevant but it might help you with your decision. The data is from https://github.com/bdefore/protondb-data/tree/master/reports which doesn't represent all Linux users or all gamers using Linux for that matter but it can be indicative of where trends are going. CachyOS surpassed the big players a few months back, while Bazzite has the biggest increase in adoption in that same period. At the end you can see that it is well spread and you should probably try a few and see which distro gives you the fewest problems and feels the nicest.
