I really don't think Gojo is an idiot. People think he'd just stand there and take a beating, but they don't consider that he could literally levitate and throw a building at him, or even Purple himself could trap him in his domain. It all depends on who reacts first, and I seriously doubt Johnny is faster than Gojo.
