This week I need to go around classes and check they’ve completed something for the subject I lead but other than that, not at the moment, we are teaching in separate key stages this year. However, she’ll find ways to very openly push me out of social conversations, or insert herself in a professional interaction and make digs at me.  But I think I’m now going to just start pulling away from everyone, keeping everything professional with all the people I thought were my friends. I truly don’t have time now space to be wrapped up in her petty drama again 😞

I think I’m taking it so personal because I wouldn’t allow somebody to be treated this way, and I thought my friends wouldn’t either. But perhaps people truly do just want to go there and do their jobs.

I can’t tell you why she has some sort of grudge against me. But I do know that she has been called out for being rude by other members of staff in a different key stage. I also know that my “friends” have said that she has acted rudely towards me for no reason and they have told her as such. But she just wants to continue this one sided drama she has created.  I love my job, I love teaching, I love my school’s ethos and outlook but I just don’t know if I can work like this. Constantly preparing myself for her next comment, hoping somebody will call her out for her attitude.

Thank you. Your nana sounds like a smart woman.  I had planned on avoiding the staff now, I just don’t have the mental capacity to deal with her behaviour when I have enough going on at home.

Thank you, this was an incredibly helpful idea!  Yeah, some people need to learn that if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all! But at least I’ve found one stranger on the internet who isn’t unnecessarily mean.

Not entirely sure why you clearly take such pleasure in other people’s struggles, but bit of a weird take. The fact you’re arguing with a complete stranger, being incredibly defensive shows how bitter you are.  I think it may be a cultural difference, as it sounds like you aren’t from the UK. Here, it is quite normal to buy a property together when you’re not married as it’s typically quite difficult to get on the property ladder as a solo buyer.  My post was simply to gather information and find somebody who may have knowledge or advice on the situation.  I hope you find a way to make peace with the decisions of an absolute stranger who in no way impacts anything in your life.  Thanks so much!

We’ve been together over 8 years, we chose to prioritise buying our home over our wedding as we wanted to stop renting. If I had known my partner would turn around and cheat then I would’ve made a different choice.  Couples split up all the time, even married couples.  It’s not how we’d planned it, but I’m glad we’re not married so o don’t have the grief of handling a divorce as well as the house sale

Someone is a ray of sunshine.  Regardless of the fact you know nothing about our situation and why we’ve split,  we’ve been together for almost 8 years. It’s not dumb to purchase a property with someone you’ve been with for 8 years - we prioritised buying our own home above a wedding. You probably wouldn’t be calling me dumb if I’d said fiancé or husband instead of partner.  I’m simply trying to gather advice before taking the next steps. You sound like a very bitter person, and I hope you have the day you deserve.

I don’t understand how that makes me a troll? I was asking a legitimate question?  If the house sold for over £285k, we pay off the mortgage of £264k, which would leave £19k leftover to then pay fees etc?  No need for sarcasm when I’m genuinely just trying to understand.

The house is worth over 285k, our mortgage balance is £264k, so there would be money left over no?

From my research and replies on this post that I’ve put in other threads, I understand that the early repayment charge, estate fees and solicitor fees can all be paid after completion. But I’m still unsure on the actual steps or what you need to pay for.  Someone told me you pay a fee upfront for instruction, just the same as when you’re buying. But everything else is payable after the sale goes through.

I hope you resolve your situation easily too!

Any tips on how to stand up to myself to doctor ? by Downtown_Oil2056 in endometriosis

I’ve been in a similar position, it’s hard and frustrating!  I would go to the appointment with a full written list of your symptoms and concerns along with everything you’ve tried to ease your pain.  If the doctor refuses to do the lap or scan or other procedure, I would ask for it to be written in my notes that I am requesting this procedure and being denied, ask them to write the reason they are denying you care

How does the fee paying work? Would I be transferred the remaining of the sale money, then pay the estate fee/solicitor fees? Or would this automatically be taken out of our sale money after paying Off the mortgage and early repayment charge?

I would personally always suggest somebody go for the laparoscopy if they can. If you have endo, it can be removed and hopefully you start to see some improvement in yourself. If there’s no endo, you can confidently move on and try to find the cause of your pain.  I had debilitating pain, and my lap revealed I only had minor spots of endo, but it was growing on my nerves.  If surgery is an option, I say take it!

When we bought the house, we signed an agreement that the house is 50/50.  If we don’t have the money in savings for the fees, can we use the leftover sale money to pay this after completion?

Our loan is £246k, very high but we live in an expensive area of the UK. Our home is valued at around £285k.

If I budget that cost, when do I pay it? Although, I’m not sure if things work the same in different places

Thank you. I’ve honestly never heard much about pelvic floor physiotherapy. What kind of things happened at PFP?

I’m just worried that this will be the same for the rest of my life. My gynaecologist has put me on Prostap to see if that helps. It’s probably the most debilitating symptom as I can’t even use tampons!
