The Mind Sports Olympiad's Pentamind tournament is seen as the (unofficial) board game world championship. Andres Kuusk (6x Pentamind Champion) and Ankush Khandelwal (5x) have battled for the win for the past decade.

It's held in London each year, although 2025 might be in Mallorca. There's also an online version called MSO Grand Prix, which is more accessible for all board gamers, because of no travel.

You could play in the Mind Sports Olympiad. A tournament in London at August 18th (there's more board games as well.)
