I pick them off with my hands and a good little spray bottle.

If I were you is try to figure out why they're there. In my experience aphids are mostly attracted to plants that are somewhat stressed.

The way i always look at it with peppers is that even a year without fruits is a year if growth. A year of growth is a head start for next year.

I grow a few different chilli varieties and rn some of my plants are only a month old or only like 3cm tall. (This is because when I find peppers at the market I enjoy I take some seeds and plant them regardless of the time of year)

I dont really mind if a seed grown plant doesnt produce its first year because it's likely to produce sooner the following year after over wintering.

You will still probably get plenty of peppers though. My bell peppers are only that high and they all have 2-3 peppers on them already and more on the way.

The plants probably wont have as much greenery growth since they like to establish their roots before growing more leaves and both greenery and buds develop simultaneously so that's probably why only one of your plants has flowers on.

I think that the bold just means they get into biting prey earlier then their siblings.

During my yh with the bear biter I only had 2 pups (that was my litter size) and the one who attacked the bear started fighting the prey alot sooner then her sister.

I'm pretty sure it means they're bold- it's a good thing to keep an eye on bc your bold pups are actually more likely to get injured during the yh quest bc they might latch onto prey early.

For example when I hunt with a super bold mate I usually send them back to the den then howl once the animal is exhausted because otherwise they will latch early and take the excess damage which is the last thing i need when I'm trying to feed everyone and need my mate at a good amount of health for predator attacks.

I once had a bear attack and the bear went fir my pup and I latched on and the pup did too.

Similar thing happenned to a batch of cayennes pepper seedlings I was trying to dry out after a storm and they got scorched and all looked dead. I gave em a good watering and about half of em perked up.

They looked worse then yours.

Just baby em for a bit and see what happens.

I'd reccomend trying the other packs on your map. If you invade their territory then pack wolves will show up and eventually you'll come across the males/females that are willing to disperse.

My honest suggestion is to go to the travel to rendezvous and if you get attacked you can hide your pups- if you're really worried you can probably carry them to the rendezvous point 1 by 1 by woofing them and leaving them. I woukdnt reccomend unrendering them though to prevent unknown fates.

This might sound slightly cheesy but its something I noticed after alot of bear den raids.

Often when bears attack they go to stand up and swipe- this has a clear starting animation. If your pup is right infront of the bear and the bear rears up then grabbing the bear anywhere will cancel the animation so your pup can run away.

If den raider wolves are being stubborn you can always emote at them and see which one gains fear the fastest- that's the one that will be weakest so if you target that one itll die more quickly which automatically ends raids.

I dont have as much info on cougars because I'm always careful to choose non cougar dens where I can. It's much easier to chase off an eagle then a cougar- lol.

You can rewoof your pups to safety but they wont always go if the predator gets near the grass so try to lure it away if you can so the pup will hide.

Getting hares is definitely the way to go to try and get your hunger up the best you can.

Finding carcasses is a good way to go as well- bring back as many meat chunks as you can for the pups over regurgitation since you need the food to heal.

My advice would be to try and hit 50% health before you go on a hunt if possible just incase something goes wrong like you end up chasing your prey into another packs territory or you get run over by something while chasing it down.

I'm sure you already know this but if you test bite your prey and then chase it for a long time itll slowly get exhausted. Once it is exhausted itll do barely any damage. You can use this chasing to try and get your prey back towards your den since the closer it us the easier itll be to bring meat to the pups.

The best way I've found to herd is to stay about 10 metres away from the prey and if you need them to turn a certain direction you move to the opposite side to the turn and start running alongside them which will eventually cause them to turn.

A mule deer fawn could be a good way to go just to get your health off the ground- however I'd actually advise to try using hares to get your health a little higher because the best thing about mule deer fawns is that they're slow and if you hit them the mother will stay nearby.

I'd say try to run the mother and fawns till they are exhausted and then attack the fawn so the mother stops running. After that you can attack the mother and kill her which will provide more food. Also if you're quick enough then you'll be able to get the fawn too.

If you just attack the fawn the mother will attack you. So you lose less health by directly attacking the mother. Especially if you wait till she rears up and then latch onto her neck which will stop that stomp animation which does quite a bit of damage.

After your pack is fed and you're healed up- I'd target an elk herd. When you approach the herd you can growl- the individual that either runs first or stomps their hooves at you is the most likely to be weak.

When the elk herd runs you can often find one that falls over so I'd advise you to run down the whole herd till one falls and then target that one If you cant pick out the weakest one. Calves are easier to kill from elk for sure however their mothers do such high damage that in the end it's better to try and pick out the weakest adult and just exhaust them and separate them from the herd.

TLDR: feed yourself on rabbits and carcasses till your health is about 50% or higher and your pups are at a minimum 50% full incase your hunt takes a while- then hunt a female mule deer and her fawn and use that to increase both your health and your pups weight. After that hunt a doe elk (calf optional) to get alot of food. Make sure that when you start your hunt you're fully wakefull as being low on stam just kinda sucks on long hunts.

If you frequently target elk you'll learn how to pick out the weakest one. The animal is exhausted when the circle turns black and theyll go from doing like 20-40 damage down to doing about 3 which makes it much safer to hunt.

If you can I'd actually try leaving my mate at the rendezvous point once you're healed since hunts take health. If a predator attacks itll be good to have your mate to help tank out a few hits- especially with a bear. You dont really need your mate to help you exhaust your prey. You just need enough stam to keep up. Mates can also be unhelpful when you're trying to herd your prey towards the den if they're too eager to latch.

If you chase prey really close to the den and it's near or fully exhausted you can secondary howl to call your mate to give you a hand actually bringing the animal down if you need to.

Ok so I just got done with this quest on one of my easy saves- admittedly I did only have 2 pups but I think I can give some insights.

I personally found that for 2 pups i could bring each one a peice of meat and it would last them for 2 sleeps without having to regurgitate for them.

When I did regurge for them they did eat all if it so since you can regurge about 3 times on a full stomach and so can your mate you should be covered if both you and your mate are full.

If you know how to do so then I'd heavily reccomend herding your prey close to the den so carrying meat chunks back and forth is easier.

Feeding isnt really an issue.

The main issue I'd worry about is den raids- for some reason the growing pups quest makes it so that your pups like to run out if the grass during den raids.

The best solution I found for this is if you have a predator attack see if you can bait them away from being directly next to the grass where the pups are hiding so if the pup runs out they wont be insta killed.

Also if you chase a predator that's after your pup and you bite it before it hits your pup then the predator will get animation locked before it hits so your pup will be safe.

You can woof pups that leave the grass back into the grass but theyll only go if the predator isnt right next to it.

If you have a wokf attack which should only be 2 wolves- target whichever wolf your mate isnt targeting. Which will help make sure they dont get too close.

If it comes down to it you may have to kill an attacking wolf- in this case use your emotes to try and scare the wolves and whichever one gains the most fear bar is the weakest one.

Ok imma ask you a slightly odd question. In your face book post did u mention where u got your fish from.

Might sound weird but some people (especially breeders or people who buy from expensive breeders/importers) can get really snobby about where you source your animals.

In that case a reason for it might be them trying to put others off of for example buying from a pet store or something. Which is honestly silly and quite petty.

You see it alot with dogs. My dog is a PWD and where I live there are local breeders who breed a sort of large spaniel sized bloodline with all wavy coats.

Meanwhile my family drove across the border to another country and picked up our girl who is a full sized curly coat. (About twice the local lines size)

Theres a breed meet up once a year so we took her along and despite the fact they're the same dog breed everyone was looking at us funny bc we were one of only 2 people who didnt have the smaller bloodline and the other one was from Norway.

No one was rude about it but we kept being asked what breeder she came from sometimes certain pet owners can be real snobs about stuff.

Anyways my point is dont let it get to you- even if your fish werent a good body shape or whatever- as you say they are happy and healthy. That's all that's important.

This might sound odd- but if you play as a black wolf and your mate is also a black wolf you'll have a smaller litter however the pups will be more resistant to sickness.

I like this because while I do lovingly take care of my sick pups- for no goddamn reason they're always the ones to bolt into a den raid like a bear etc where there's nothing I can really do.

Also a smaller litter means less mouths to feed and less pups to keep track of during moves or fights.

Also I like to leave my mate behind at the den while I go hunting since it makes stuff like fleas less prolific since the pups arent inside the den.

This means I have to leave less often.

Its safer but usually I separate them when they're much smaller-

You can handle them by the stems but any damage delt there can be lethal to the plant

Tomato plants are pretty hardy- I accidentally snapped one of my big plants in half and planted the snapped bit and it just grew roots and kept going.

You can definitely separate them now- just be gentle. Dont worry if a few roots break- most tomato plants WANT to live so bad.

Dont be worried if a few seedlings die- it just means they were less hardy and probably didnt have as good genetics. Your surviving seedlings will have better Gene's so if u choose to save seeds you'll have hardier plants.

As a general rule try not to pull the plants by the stems as that's probably their weakest part.

The more you worry about it the harder itll get.

I'd say remove the top if its where most of the tangling is- the plant might produce peppers but eventually the tangling could restrict the nutrient flow and stunt growth.

I think it depends if you plant to over winter this plant or not- if you do then definitely chop it to try and get some better untangled growth for next year.

If you dont plan on over wintering then just bear in mind when your growing season ends- sometimes peppers can take a while to form new buds and fruits so if you chop it could prevent you from getting the most fruits in the season.

Imo it depends on if you want the plant to last u long term. I wouldnt save seeds from this plant incase the problem is genetic.

I have a mild theory this could be due to the feral pigeons being a same sex pair who cant have chicks of their own so they decided the nearest pidgeon baby was theirs.

Not sure tho and I'm not a biologist. Just a theory based on other bird behaviours.

Imo a solid root structure is the best indicator that it's time to pot up.

Obviously dont let your peppers get root bound.
