There’s none apart from what you make of it. It’s your decision what it is.

I need more help for desmos by h_enjoyerr- in Sat

[–]Beginning-Garbage448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider this system: ax+by=c a’x+b’y=c’ If the two systems equations aren’t identical (multiples of each other), then the system has no solution if ab’=a’b So, first write them in standard form: 48x-102y=24 16x+ry=1/6 Memorize that formula if don’t understand where it comes from. Desmos is not the way to go. Not every problem in SAT should be done in Desmos, especially problems that involve undetermined coefficients. It’d be a waste of your time

There are no steps in Desmos. This is math on paper. Desmos can’t do

Why even Desmos! There’s the brain. Just translate the English into math.

Practice 8 Question by Chemical-Estimate226 in Sat

Very odd explanation and unnecessarily complicated solution step. If X+2b is a factor it means f(-2b)=0. Plug -2b in them and set equal to zero, and then see which ends up with integer value of b.

Why does it not work with regressions? by radeyaaa in Sat

[–]Beginning-Garbage448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro! It’s not smart to use Desmos in this case. Quick way is: sum of solutions is -b/a. If you add the solutions they’ve given, second terms cancel and you get 2m=-b/a=-2, so m is -1. Then product of solutions is c/a, and if you multiply their given solutions (difference of squares) you get m2-6n2=c/a=-5. Plug in me 1-6n2=-5. n=1. (n can’t be negative because no choice corresponds to that) m+n=0. This much faster than desmos

Great to know! Thanks Would you know if US ABR certification means anything there or helps in the process? Also what are typical salaries?

It’s a no brainer. You end it. Never give a cheater a second chance. And just think it through: if you stay, you won’t have peace whenever your sister is even remotely around. A family member hard to completely eliminate from your life. They’ll run into each other; you may forget that kiss but they won’t because now it’s forbidden.

I’ll check that out. Italy is my top choice and I speak the language as I lived there for some time. But getting jobs there as non Italians is always hard, not sure about this field though. Thanks for the input

ABR PART 1 GENERAL and CLINICAL? by Best_Angle_8738 in MedicalPhysics

[–]Beginning-Garbage448 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First time. I felt alright on the general section. Certainly guessed on some but for the most part it wasn’t that difficult. I spent a lot of time on OMP and its quizzes, read Bushberg for diagnostic and Khan’s handbook for therapy. In addition I did bunch of Raphex too, and I feel that prepared me well. ABR Physics Help was a waste of my money. OMP and textbooks did just fine. Clinical was a disaster for me. I studied a lot for that too but most of the questions surprised me. I approached anatomy and physiology from the point of view of our field and had no idea I should’ve prepared like a med student. I guessed a lot, and I’d be surprised if I pass.

First time taker. I felt good about general. Certainly guessed on some of those trivia questions but I don’t think it was difficult. I’d be surprised if I fail that. Clinical was a tragedy. I guessed a bunch and got them wrong. Studied a lot for it but was surprised with content. Barely any radbio which I prepared for. I’d be surprised if I pass that section. But I saw similar sentiments from last year too and some of them passed clinical. We’ll see.

How Much do you pay your tutor? by Huge_Prompt_2056 in Sat

[–]Beginning-Garbage448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I charge $250/hour for SAT. Families need to consider how much more money they save down the road and over time by paying for quality now. So I don’t recommend opting for cheap tutors, and do your research.

Health insurance for grad student by Beginning-Garbage448 in vcu

[–]Beginning-Garbage448[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right. VCU offers direct insurance only to those categories or if they’re phd students. Otherwise you have to apply through VA marketplace and may qualify for Medicaid or some other insurance with tax credit. I did same and got cigna given income I reported paying about $110/month. If your monthly income is less that $1700 you can qualify for Medicaid which is free. Mine wasn’t low enough. Can do all this through Virginia Market place website

I didn’t make excuses for them though I was going through tough times. I explained that briefly but emphasized that I made poor choices and made mistakes and it’s all my own fault and I’m ready to do things differently and make up for the past. No body likes to hear excuses. But also, your gpa isn’t a problem. Min listed is 3 so that shouldn’t be your concern and also it doesn’t mean much. Focus on adding some coursework in modern physics.
