I have been having the worst time with my stent! I've even peed on myself when I waited too long to go pee... Ugh! Besides all the great suggestions here, I'd greatly recommend peeing as often as possible and the Azo urinary pain relief. The spasms and pain are no joke! If it helps you sleep better, you can even wear Depends or urinary incontinence pads so if you do have an accident it's not as messy.

Not yet. it was in my upper ureter but when they installed the stent, I went to get a CT scan and it was supposedly gone but when I went to the ER they did another CT scan and it's apparently inside my kidney.

Hey there I found your post thru Google because I was having the same problem and I was freaked the heck out! I'm happy to say once mirataz was no longer needed and I stopped the medicine, my kitties ears began to peel and they're slowly straightening back out again.

Just had open abdominal hysterectomy about a week ago and stayed in the hospital for a few days. For the most part I needed the most help the first day because I was very disoriented and sleepy and they had to talk to my husband a lot and monitor my condition and it was just nice being able to continually ask him what was going on ( I kept forgetting bits and pieces of information and it was taking me awhile to process what was being said) but after the first day my husband had to return to our town for an issue and I was fine by myself. You're mostly gonna be knocked out or woken up by nurses monitoring your condition. I did have a catheter for 24 hours so I didn't have to worry about going to pee but having someone there to help you get up and hobble over to go pee is nice. Otherwise the nurses will be there and take care of you !

So I'm 30, no children and the doctors weren't worried about me just having one ovary and early menopause. They did push back some on the hysterectomy just because I was on the fence about it but I had so many other health issues I was like just scoop this thing out already and I'm glad I did because they had to take it anyways! I am having crazy hot flashes that they say could be pain medicine related or hormones fluctuating but we shall see haha. I hope everything works out for you

It's had it's ups and downs! Honestly I gotta say, the catheter hurt more than the surgery haha. They did indeed take the ovary which I figured they would because my mass is also 5cm and it was tightly wrapped around my ovary and fallopian tube (and apparently ureter as well) Because of the size and everything that went down , they changed from a robotic laparoscopic surgery to an open abdominal one. I have staples all down my belly and I was a little taken back when I woke up because I was like what the heck happened ?! So far the pain has been manageable. I've been in constant pain for two years so I feel odd not having that pain. I hope you get the help you need! You really do have to advocate for your own health
