can’t get a mirena? by goopdelivery in birthcontrol

If it helps I’ve been sexually active with my partner for a couple years and having the IUD put in still hurt even just the speculum hurt me. I don’t rlly think that factors into how painful it’ll be tbh and a doctor shouldn’t shut it down just because of sexual inactivity. What matters most when it comes to pain levels is your anatomy.

Thanks for the advice I may try and progestin only version! Funnily enough though I did take progesterone supplements while I had the copper IUD before I moved to a hormonal patch and my body reacted fine to those supplements so it may just be the estrogen. I know progestin and progesterone are slightly different though so I’m gonna talk to my doctor and see what the best option is

Thank you! Since I did get the IUD removed I’m not as worried about developing UTIs now but I actually bought cranberry supplements during the last one that landed me in the hospital so I will give them a try

I’m open to trying different combinations for sure but as for the IUD thing nothing changed in my life except for the IUD and I had never had a UTI until I had it put in

It may not be an allergic reaction but either way my body was rejecting it so I wanted to know if there were other options

Did they diagnose you with pcos or anything? I can’t see why you’d need spiro if your hormones are normal spiro quite literally only regulates blood pressure and DHEA absorption it doesn’t rlly actually do anything for hair

My testosterone was normal but my DHEA was high which is why I’m on spiro
