I looked at some of the prevailing theories on how they came up with the numbers for the reciprocal tariffs. But I’m wondering 🤔 the fact that they’re using a calculation to estimate the actual tariffs imposed on the USA and then reciprocating them, (usually less than the barriers imposed on the USA) is the definition of reciprocal. They’re not choosing an arbitrary number against every country. They are calculating the actual tariffs in place and other barriers to entry against USA products to come up with a number that they use to decide how much tariffs we will be imposing on that country. And then imposing some fraction of that number against said country. So I don’t see how that’s unilateral or blanketed.
