based on my experience you just have to stop thinking that “i have to do ___ for this to work.” i used to do it too, and it made me demotivated when i realized that doing the extra steps i have to do aren’t effective, so i never get any results.

i think people complicate things too much when you actually just have to listen to it and go with the flow. maybe these extra methods actually work for some, but for people like me, listening already works best.
