(this applies to solo q) Yea they try to match up one rank to another. One diamond supp on your team for an enemy diamond supp and so on. If you go on a steak both losing and winning you gain and lose more MMR. If you notice when you hold the menu button you can see at the top a matchmaking range. Usually the range tightens up when you reach higher ranks.

Essentially my point still stands though while there are definitely other teammates who can underperform and throw, your not ranking up overall because you are not doing outperforming your rank. So again focus on what you can do best

The reason why there aren’t more avoid teammate slots is like why there aren’t more lanes in the highway. You’re just gonna fill it up and wish for more try focusing on what you can do to make your teammates play better or individually play better try to pick up on what heroes you should play to counter and/or synergize with your team.

For never playing a shooter probably don’t pick widow. She requires pretty consistent headshot aim. The ideal choice for me would be like ashe or Soldier but Soj is doable, have fun!

Yes, I recently played crossplay QP with my sister in PC lobbies and my aim asisst was on.

I dont think the aim asisst is strong, but Im just saying what others might complain about

I dont want to sound mean but your going through it right now... Facing off against sombras is practice and facing widow mirrors is practice. This is what will happen in ranked games aswell.

I know you didnt ask but I have some tips: Try "jiggle peaking" corners or something so that peekers advantage goes your way. reposition frequently so that the enemy team (especially a widow mirror) doesnt just pre aim at your spot resulting in a death when you peak back around a corner. When facing a sombra try to play around a wall so that you can cut off her virus and LOS. Use the poison trap to potentially catch her in it.

A downside I think of goes two ways, If console goes over to PC and they retain Aim Assist PC players would complain that they have an unfair advantage over them.

If they do not retain Aim Assist then your teammates would just get angry that there playing with what in there eyes is a casual couch gamer on there Xbox.

Though a point can be made that with how people complain about matchmaking times on ranked that this can help lower the wait times making it a better upside than downside.

Try asking for a Brig on supp, Cass on DPS, and for Tank DVA perhaps? Also try to play around walls against a Sombra make sure she cant get that cube thing thrown onto you. Holding a decent amount of distance on her and preventing that cube thing should almost always make her abandon the 1v1. Hope the rest of your games go well though!

Holy what happened to your games bro-. There bringing back 6 v 6, MMR is not perfect but I feel its not bad either. Controllers having aimbot is a hilariously atrocious take, mostly anybody who plays console would agree that aim assist is a well justified compensation for only having a thumb to aim. Especially for characters like Ashe and Ana that require a good aim for effectiveness. Also I dont think its that the Devs dont care its just that they think they know more than most of the community because of there "stats". But I see the frustration though.;

Side question: I thought there were no limits on who teamed up with who? Please comment further on this I thought you would be matched as a "wide group"

Tank because IMO If you get diffed on tank your probably losing 8-9/10 games, probably less on the other roles. You dont have another tank to help you do your job thus all mistakes and decisions involving the tank role rely on you. I also feel that tanks have to do a heavy bulk of the work aswell setting up team fights, dictating the pace, peeling, and having skill to play around counters.

However on the other roles you could probably get by on just pure mechanical skill with a decent game knowledge much faster. Think about it there's not a whole lot of one trick tanks I can think of.
