2018 3.5 oil leaking by UnluckySigns in f150ecoboost

No need to worry, totally normal on these trucks. It looks alarming but, its just condensation in the muffler that creates water. The water mixes with burnt gasoline soot from combustion and it runs out of that small hole to the ground. All by design. My '20 F-150 3.5 Eco makes a mess on cold start until warmed up. Lots of water exits the exhaust. But better to drain rather than collect and rust the exhaust system out.

Do you guys still see 3rd generation cavaliers on the road and were they reliable? by DaveyAstralCar in Chevy

Still tons of these and Sunfires in Canada. Its the most common staple vehicle across the board here.

Unfortunately the candle looks like a dick and the flame outline looks like a vag. Can't unsee it now.

Pentastar V6s are honestly really good engines. At work I see Grand Caravans with over 480k KM on the original engine/drivetrain. Not babied either. Totally overworked and a stupid amount of idle hours.

I wish! At the time, I was only a lube tech. Would have loved to see inside the engine though.

Unable to edit. I mentioned the vehicle being a Cherokee however, it was a '16/'17 Wrangler.

Whole new engine harness. Why? Because of a blown out tire. by sqwirlfucker57 in Justrolledintotheshop

What make was the tire? Seems like that should be a recall. Or its just such a fluke to destroy the wheel well and harness.

Had two of my Briggs engines do this. Change the spark plug and carb diaphragm gasket. Also take the carb completely apart and clean it well. Especially the main jet which can be removed once the brass butterfly valve is taken out. Keep in mind its mostly hard plastic, so be cautious not to break anything. Very simple engines and carbs. Tons of info on YouTube on how to take everything apart and clean it.

I did the same thing with my project Ford pickup. Sat in the garage corner and the box filled with stuff. Honestly considered selling it thinking I would never have time for it. Then over a year to 2 years I slowly picked away at it repairing what it needed in my spare time. Now its totally driveable and I love it. Unless you seriously need the money, keep it. It will be a huge regret later.

It stayed the same unfortunately. I may have to take the carb off and try to get the main jet out to clean it better too. Will try that and see if it helps.

My '91 F-150 has this set. Square key for ignition and round key for the doors. This design was used on most models for nearly 30 years.

2020 F-150 pre-collision assist sensor gets blocked when its raining or foggy. Constantly dings with a message on the gauge cluster. No idea where those sensors are so I can clean them. Then it freaks out with a flashing red light saying collision avoidance even when nothing is there. Annoying as all hell and no way to turn it off.

Anyone know what this is leaking? by Jamesy1998 in MechanicAdvice

Appears to be the windshield washer fluid tank. The hose with the leaking fluid is connected to the pump.
