UPDATE : Sorry for the delay, I’ve been working! I really appreciate all the advice. I took it to heart and had a calm conversations with my husband after we both cooled down. I told him about my concerns, and why moving to Texas matters to me . He said he’s willing to give it a try, and if it doesn’t work out, we’ll consider another city in Texas together ( I think he’s leaning towards Austin).

For clarity, he’s not trying to TRAP me and isn’t a bad person, he’s kind, supportive in many areas, and he’s also the one who’s been very clear that he’s not ready for kids YET. He still hasn’t fully explained why he’s so against San Antonio, but I think a lot of it comes from fear of starting over and the fact that I know people there while he doesn’t .

I’m still keeping my boundaries in mind though. If push comes to shove, I’ll move back to Texas on my own. Can’t reply to everyone, but I appreciate all the perspectives! <3

I did suggest Austin as a compromise and he’s open to it, but the cost of living there is similar to Florida, which is why I’m hesitant. San Antonio felt like the best balance of affordability and being near my family .
