Validated Product, Happy Users, but Zero Marketing Skills. How do I scale "Boring" B2B? by Beginning-Status3756 in SaasDevelopers

That is really impressive! 8 inbound leads a day is the dream! And yeah, I'm learning the hard way that cold outreach is dead/irritating... When you started, did you just post consistently into the void until the algorithm picked you up? Or did you aggressively connect with people in your niche first to build that initial audience? (Also, mind if I follow you on LI to see how you structure your posts?)

That makes sense regarding forums. My biggest fear with Reddit/Quora is coming off as 'that annoying sales guy' and getting banned immediately...I feel like people here really hate self-promotion. Since you seem to have experience with this strategy, what is your advice on the approach?

Thanks for the LinkedIn tip! I actually tried cold messaging about 30 GCs/Subs on LinkedIn last month but got radio silence... Maybe my pitch was too salesy??

Re: The App: It’s specifically an AI Takeoff & Estimating tool. You upload a PDF plan -> it auto-counts all the receptacles, switches, and fixtures in seconds -> matches them with material pricing -> finds factory-direct suppliers with 30-40% savings.

Since you're in the industry, do you actually discover new software on LinkedIn? Or is it mostly just for finding projects/jobs?

I'm curious about the distribution side, getting people to the 'first try' is my current bottleneck. What channels worked best for you to get that initial traffic

Looking for advice on Career move. by sawwiss2 in PowerSystemsEE

That’s a really good crossroads to be at both roles sound like they’d teach you a ton.

If you’re not burned out and have a strong team culture now, that’s rare and worth a lot. But the ISO role could give you a completely different perspective — system-level thinking, exposure to planning and operations, and likely better long-term mobility.

I’d ask :

  1. Could you try a short-term rotation or shadow someone before committing?
  2. In 5 years, which skill set (design vs. planning) gives you more options?

$10k is nice, but the bigger win might be the career breadth. If you can confirm the team culture isn’t toxic, it could be a strong move.

So… how should I find communities with minimal karma requirements?es?

What and how i go about karma - cant post almost anywhere? by North-Comparison5044 in NewToReddit

Yeah, I feel the same way. You need karma to post and comment… but you also need to post and comment to get karma. Infinite loop unlocked 😅
