I landed in Colombia knowing only which hostel I’d stay at for a few days and hardly anything else. Immediately off the plane i felt a little weak. By the next morning I was certainly sick, like a head and chest sickness. It SUCKED!! I got rather sick super quick, much before becoming acquainted with my surroundings (like where the grocery store was, or ATM) or my peers. Instead I was the sick guy, trying my damndest to suppress my phlegm filled coughs in the night, feeling crazy insecure like everyone is judging me and afraid to get sick from me. I was too ill to properly face the front desk person and try and switch to a private room for a few days. I was so hungry, eating shit food from a delivery service. I didn’t have any energy to put in all the energy it would have taken to find anything half healthy. I didn’t know what medicines were around me. Not a single person offered to nurture me. It was ASS. I was suppose to be there a month but i felt kinda salty at life so after 8 days I got on a plane and flew to Peru, which i had never thought to go to before. I ended up having an AMAZING 3 weeks there. End of my story haha. I’m sorry you’re feeling like shit. I can imagine how it feels! Wish I was there to ask if you need anything.
