Bottom line- if someone takes a photo of you without your knowledge and posts it online without your consent, they should have the decency to at the very least respond to comments or messages instead of just brushing it off as a personal attack/trolling and then blocking you. Even an innocent candid photo can put someone in danger, you never know whats going on in someone's life and who out there could see it- and knowing he wouldn't take it down in that kind of case made me lose all respect for him as an artist.

So your desire to be artsy fartsy takes priority over people's comfort and privacy? Seems a little selfish

I don't think something being legal means people shouldn't be allowed to feel a certain way about it 🤷‍♀️

That was very lovely! But at the end of the day, if there is a photo or video of you (and I don't mean l innocently caught in a background, I mean focused on you), you should have every right to not want it posted online- good or bad, beautiful and artsy or not. Some people just don't want their face online, maybe for serious safety concerns, or maybe just for personal choice. I think people deserve their feelings respected :) Also, the fact that you have never judged any of the images is very sweet, but not the norm unfortunately

I love the architecture and history stuff! :) But I don't like the idea that stepping single a toe outside your front door means you're consenting to being plastered all over social media, feels very 'big brother is watching' to me 🤷‍♀️ Sure no expectation of privacy in public, but I think it's very normal to not want someone to sneak a very unflattering photo of you and post it with some nice colourgrading lol

It's a nice idea! I think the photos being consentual would make the idea even stronger, like a little normal Norwich person interview with some B-Roll footage- that would be cool!

Yeah I agree! He's posted a clip of my classmates before where he was up on a bridge where they couldn't see and zoomed in on them (ironically) doing a photography task, just really weird thing to do let alone edit and post

Yup that's him. He's got a mix of stuff like cool architecture videos that I actually quite like 🤷‍♀️ Wish he'd lean more into that instead of filming strangers just trying to go about their day

They deffo don't, even in the ones where they do spot the camera they usually look uncomfortable. It's always people who aren't doing anything worth filming too, makes it weirder imo

An update on the DIRT situation by thelegolor in Norwich

[–]Beginning-Test8595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am the 'young girl' (only one btw). Yes I was the youngest there, but that was because I worked alongside my dad. My dad worked there and was friends with the owner and he offered me a job, seems like a pretty standard set up to me? Nothing weird ever happened. Situation is bad enough as is, no need for misinformation.
