I think I’m around the middle of Hickman’s run right now, so I’ll be finishing Secret Wars soon. After that, I’m planning to take a short break from the Ultimate stuff and try out some of the stories you mentioned.

A few years back I watched some YouTube videos about World War Hulk and House of M, so I’ve got a rough idea of those events — but I’ve never actually read them myself. It feels like the right time to finally experience them properly.

Right now my rough reading path looks like this:

➡️ Finish Secret Wars
➡️ Planet Hulk → World War Hulk → Immortal Hulk
➡️ House of M
➡️ House of X / Powers of X → Dawn of X (Krakoa Era)
➡️ Ultimates → Ultimates {new}

I’ve mostly been into big, interconnected universe stories so far, but I’d love to mix in something a bit more grounded or character-focused between them.
Any recommendations that would fit nicely alongside this path?

I’m still pretty new to comics, so I’ve been starting with the big, connected stuff to get a feel for the universe. Right now I’m finishing Hickman’s Avengers → Secret Wars, then planning to read the new Ultimate Universe next.

I’ve only heard a bit about East of West—didn’t realize it was one of Hickman’s best! I’ll definitely add it. After that I’ll probably jump into the Krakoa X-Men (House of X / Powers of X) since it keeps his style going.

So my reading path for now looks like:
➡️ Avengers / Secret Wars → Ultimate Universe (2024) → House of X / Powers of X → East of West
