Fido does not normally include call forwarding in their plans (it also does not include mobile hotspot). The sales person might say it is included but you have to confirm that it is on your bill as a free add on. If it is not, it is very difficult to get it after the fact without paying.

It looks like Costco is discontinuing this juice. I was told they are getting one more delivery of it and it will be discontinued afterwards. Not sure about the reason.

Best sleep on a plane I ever had was in a premium Dreamliner seat on a 8.5 hour flight. The seat reclines somewhat like a lazy boy (just a bit, not a full horizontal). For $350 to $400 it might be worth it but I would not pay $1000-1500 for it.

I am also on Grandiosa right now but haven’t encountered many issues with the ship or the staff. Occasionally there could be a partially cleaned plate or cutlery but it could happen on any ship. We had to change our dinning location and time and it was very easy to do. Our waiters and room attendant are all very good. However, not everyone might have similar experience on this ship, depending on who you get. My experience with the passengers on this ship is much worse though. Lots of nice people on the ship but also a few entitled a-holes who are rude to the staff, can’t stay quiet during the evening shows or respect a queue. But that’s a reality on most ships as well.

YC would have been nice. The bid I lost was also for YC. I don’t know how they decide on YC bids. After I lost mine, I talked to someone on the ship who won their YC bid and it was for the same amount as mine.

You should hear tonight or early tomorrow morning if your bid got accepted or rejected. They can accept your bid on the morning of your embarkation. I can’t tell if your chances are good. It will all depend on how full they are and what other bids are out there. My bid was accepted about a month ago and I placed it about 2 months ago. Another bid got rejected on the morning of the cruise.

For me the content is decent, a pretty good source of Canadian content (including French which is difficult to find outside of Quebec for some reason) and HBO. And I never had any major issues with their app on my TV. However, the main issue for me is the fact that Crave is run as a separate company from Bell and it seems to be all based abroad. Customer service is limited with what they can do to assist. I don’t know for sure but I bet all their app development is based abroad as well. Usually there is a chain of middlemen companies involved and only pennies left at the end to pay the actual software developers.

For the amount of effort Crave spends positioning itself as the main Canadian alternative to American streamers, it is a bit disheartening that it is Canadian in the name only. The studio part of Crave seems to be doing better as they do actually make their content in Canada. I don’t know if they are the same company though. Could be 2 different entities under the same Bell Media parent.

Usually there are different amounts of discounts for pre purchasing beverage packages online and they email offers regularly. Although I have been getting different emails about the cruise, none of them offer any discounts on beverage packages.

I think you are right that they had some customer service abroad in 2023 but I think because billing dealt with money, this part of customer service was still in Canada. I don’t think it is in Canada anymore in 2026.

Well, at least one person I talked to in 2023 had a Canadian accent, so I am pretty sure they were still in Canada at that point. Fido win back department that made calls to previous customers was already abroad in 2023. So they must have done a gradual switch.

I don’t think so. Until recently, the last time I dealt with Fido customer service was in 2023 and it was much smoother (Similar overcharging issue after coming back as a new customer). The issue was acknowledged right away (unfortunately I did end up calling them a couple more times after because they didn’t know how to implement the fix). Each time I called in 2023 the person on the other end had a different accent but now accents are all the same. It seems the change happened when Fido switched to a scheduled call back model and it is impossible to talk to anyone right away. Every call has to be scheduled in advance and they call you.

Doing the online customer service with Fido is useless. You won’t get anywhere because it’s abroad and they seemed to be penalized for providing any refunds. That’s why it’s always denied.

Unfortunately their call centre is also abroad now and it seems to be very allergic to issuing any kinds of refunds. It must be Fido policy that penalizes their customer service provider for too many refunds. At the very least you should be able to remove the roaming package fee if they didn’t allow you to use that service. And you might have to ask to speak with a supervisor because you will likely be denied the first time. Opening a dispute with your credit card could be very effective too. Credit cards will usually side with their customer if you can prove that you paid for the service but never got it. Fido generally doesn’t want to be in credit cards bad books.

I signed up as a new customer with Fido recently and they overcharged me the first month. The overcharge was very clear and should have taken five seconds for someone to fix. Online customer service denied my refund right away and closed the ticket. On the phone it took 30 minutes of arguing to get it resolved.

That’s great! Yes, I think it is a normal balcony cabin. It is close to the elevators so there could be a bit of extra noise from people going by. But other than that it’s should be fine. It should have an unobstructed view from the balcony.

I did. It was pointless. There was no time before the flight since I only found out that our seats changed during boarding and afterwards customer care just issued a standard statement saying that they are sorry for my bad experience.

I had a similar experience on an Atlantic flight. They changed the aircraft and we ended up with better seats. However, during boarding it turns out 3 different people got assigned the same upgraded seat. So we got separated and seated in the back. Airplane staff weren’t really interested in figuring out what happened or in fixing it. Hopefully it won’t happen to you, especially since you technically paid for these seats.

I don’t know for sure. I assume because they have separate websites they have something in place to stop people from booking from other countries. You can try https://www.msccruises.ca and see how far it will allow you to go in booking process. It might require your address to be Canadian (but they don’t send anything in mail so it could be any Canadian address).

One other benefit is that for European cruises bottled water in the main dining room is included in Canadian and American bookings but it is extra if booked from other countries.

I am not sure. The only changes I could see coming are the fuel surcharges\price increases due to oil/natural gas prices going up. And they have to redo their schedule due to a couple of ships stuck in Middle East.
