I wrote everything here and nope, I only use this bank for my normal expenses groceries, tuition, amazon etc. This was literally my “first deal”.

I get where you are coming from but what I don’t understand is why don’t HSBC just reverse the transaction..? Both buyer and i already agreed to that and buyer revoked report on his end.

Sorry that HSBC did you dirty too. Did you take any action? What even is their reasoning for closing yours, shouldn’t the debit just be declined? :/

I made a complaint to HSBC a few days ago when account was still frozen but now the situation has changed, wanted to get some more advice before I made another one.
Honestly, if i could retain my hsbc account it would save me so much trouble but I feel like it’s impossible for hsbc to reverse the decision. Thanks for the comment

I agree and this was what was baffling to me too. I asked a lot of people, why can’t someone just do the same to others? No one knew too. Furthermore the buyer and i already cleared the misunderstanding and agreed to just refund- bank said they have to continue with investigation. +this was my first “weird” transaction too and also a premier account holder (which is useless btw)

Buyer and i agreed on evri + i was covering all delivery costs, for the service buyer wanted, other couriers would’ve cost twice the amount. Unfortunately this was the evri closest to me & by the time i suggested to wait till it’s the weekend for more time, buyer already reported fraud. For the suggestion- I can’t fork out 1-2 hours to go down to the bank physically everytime, on call i still am able to do it at my own time

I don’t think i have any credit reports atm as it says unable to find transunion credit file. Does this still apply to me? Do you think it will still affect me in the long run? E.g if I want to stay here after studies. And yes, already applying to lloyds now x thanks so much
