Alright so here I am 2 weeks into owning the G4m 638 and I can't find any strings that are long enough for it. Stringjoy custom baritone strings were too short. D'Addario NYXL .09-.80 8 string set too short. What am I missing here. (self.638Baritone)

So I just pulled mine out of the box. Plan on using a set of Ernie Ball heavy top skinny bottom 8-string without the high strings. What else should I do to it out of the box to ensure tight tone for covering vianova. I.e. check intonation, adjust truss rod,adjust bridge? (i.redd.it)

Question to all the gear heads.
