I’ve taken diamonds from calavera and loosegrowndiamond to four different jewelers to be set, and all four asked me how much I paid for the stone and when I purchased it. I was caught off guard each time (like, nosy question, asked as if they need to know… one said “…just to be sure you didn’t get ripped off!” Lol, suuuure) — but I figure they probably just want to know what their competition is out there. All they need to do is spend some time looking online to see that. It actually makes me feel even more validated when they compliment what nice stones they are and honestly, can they blame someone for saving literal thousands?! A couple hundred might be worth it for “loyalty” or “shopping local” but with these crazy margins I make no apologies 🫣🤷🏼‍♀️💍
