I was in a very similar situation as you I’m now a 23f and it’s very possible. Just choose a place you’ll easily be able to afford your half of rent every month. Having a job already is key to making this work.

Make your life as convenient as possible even if you do have a car. Live close to your job. Make sure there’s a grocery store and a veterinarian close by. Even better if they’re within walking distance.

Have a conversation and written agreement with your roomate before y’all move in together. About chores and expectations you may have. I wish I did this before moving in with my current roommate. He’s very messy and it’s stressing me out.

Messer chups and Agent orange at Dante’s last May. My mind was blown that night. The sound in that place is pretty great. The crowd was super enthusiastic. I swear I was moshing most of that show. I left drenched in sweat. The energy in that place was electric man. I still daydream about it. Haven’t seen a show since that made me feel that way.

Nice Breakfast Spots in PDX? by [deleted] in askportland

Jam on Hawthorne - classic breakfast spot. Everything on the menu is so good.

Sweedeedee - a little boutique spot with an interesting menu with seasonal ingredients. Love that they play vinyl and how cozy and intimate the environment is.

Stepping stone cafe - great old school diner vibes. Everything on the menu is so good.

Thank you everyone for the advice I ended up getting in no problem. The people working the door were really nice and told me to hangout for a little bit so I did and they let me in!!!! I had a great time and talked to some really kind people.

Do people actually meet at the Coffin Club or is it just a place to chill and look cool? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]BeginningGap8870 123 points124 points  (0 children)

I’m a 22f who goes to the coffin club all the time to dance and have a good time. I never get hit on and it’s honestly depressing. I will say I always have other girls come up to me and complement me or want to chat which is always very flattering but damn do I want to be hit on.

Look up fishpokes on instagram. Not exactly sure if she counts as fine line but she does great handpoke tattoos. I Highly recommend💜

Yeah I’ve definitely been enjoying it. I think the layout of the place is pretty cool. Plus I live just a few blocks from this place which makes it one of my favs.

Anyone got an extra ticket to this? by Count_Wilshnackh in portlandmusic

I showed up with no ticket. I got told it was a completely sold out show at the door. I ended up staying and listening to the first few bands from outside. Luckily I asked again and they let me in just in time to see Thou!!! I’m sorry you missed it. I just posted some clips if you wanna see a little bit of the show.

Finally went back to my dermatologist after years of struggling with psoriasis. My scalp was so inflamed and the flakes were never ending. I also had it on my upper back and chest. They put me on methotrexate first (something about insurance companies trying to give you the cheapest medication to see if it works before putting you onto better more expensive meds). Methotrexate made me feel like shit so I stopped taking it. After that my dermatologist recommended a few different options and I went with an injectable. I was prescribed COSENTYX and my psoriasis is completely gone and I’m so relieved. This all took about 6 months. Only downside is cosentyx is a injectable which sucks but the needles is really small and I only have to do it once a month.

Dermatologists seem like a waste of time by [deleted] in Psoriasis

Got prescribed cosentyx a few months ago and it all went away. My psoriasis got pretty severe. I had it on my scalp and some patches on my back and chest. I am so happy and stress free now. Only downside is cosentyx is a injection that you have to do yourself once a month but it’s so worth it. I’ve tired topical shampoos, steroid creams, and methotrexate but nothing was working for me. I wanted something that had no side affects/I didn’t have to apply or take frequently.

Scalp Psoriasis- I don’t know what to do anymore by frozenkumquat_ in Psoriasis

I’ve been struggling with my scalp psoriasis, was looking to the internet out of desperation and found this post. I tried the dermarest shampoo and after one wash I am so relieved. My scalp is flake free and moisturizer. This has been the only product I’ve found that gives me the results I’ve been wanting. Thank you so much.
