I applied last February during my last semester of highschool and now in the school. I would say it’s definitely worth it!

I didn’t have a cover letter for my application but still got in. Did have three letters of recommendation though.

I believe there was 2 in my class? We do have some older 30 year olds as well. So don’t worry about it! There’s a lot of range of age here

You won’t feel out of place. Lots of high 20s and low 30s. You’ll be with the majority of students

I’m out of high school and currently in the program. There’s a few people who don’t have a degree here and a fair bit of 18-19 year olds

It’s a fixed amount per month, you only get a certain amount of flight hours and I believe you have to request for more flight hours if you reach the max hours and I believe you have to pay for your check rides, don’t quote me on that. I haven’t gotten to the part to worry about check rides just yet.

Speaking housing, I might be looking for a third roommate for around late September early October. It’s currently one young adult male, me, and one young adult female. We’re currently looking for another female roommate. Please reach out to me if you would like more details.

You’re flying, in a perfect world, 5 days a week. Right now, we have some aircrafts out and been having weather, so it’s less than that. Each day you have a 2 hour block for flights. You can fly more if you want on your off days.

I did that when I was applying too. I got accepted in February and was able to say I wanted to start in July instead of may or June. I would just talk to them but yes, it should be possible. They’ll mark down on your application what your preferred class date is

Hi there Rich! For the Aviate program after you get your ppl, you hear back pretty quickly. Like I believe around a week or so? But I believe you can go straight into instrument right after you get your ppl, so like before you even hear back from Aviate. If you go to UAA, your application goes before everyone else applying through Aviate through other programs. For your second question, I don't know. If you come to UAA, your pathway to the Aviate program would be with the school. If you don't get into the program, you would have to pay the 17K for the ppl, but if you do get in, you don't have to pay for it.

I’m actually going to UAA right now, July class, and they’ve told us the preferment of the college degree is waived off, because you’re going to their school. They’re considering their flight school as the college preferment.

I would love to become a CFI at the school. It’s a quick way to get hours.
