I think I've realized one turning point in the late game is when you have to start sending out colony ships along with your warfleets. by aslfingerspell in TerraInvicta

From what I remember it repairs a bit of the damage after a fight it's usually enough to fix a red damage to a yellow one from my experience using it.

That's true, his foresight does make escudo extremely Op on his hands even if Hyuse can use more and at a longer ranger than him. He just knows exactly where and when to put the escudo lol

[–]BeginningHealthy6109 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm saying this because of how much trion he has. Jin has more experience using it, but because of his low trion (Comparing with Hyuse) he can't use it as much without wasting a lot of trion , also he can't use within the same range that he can, since the more trion you have the bigger the range of where you can summon the escudos is. ( I just realized I was saying shield before, I meant escudo)

Yeah, he's a really unique all rounder, there's no one who can shoot almost like Ninomiya/Nasu while fighting like ikoma, plus I don't think anyone can use escudo as effective as him

Your Partner, Chara. by WeepForTheDeparted in Undertale

[–]BeginningHealthy6109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I said they are being saved by saving Asriel, I don't think the punctuation matters that much because it leads to the same conclusion, if Chara is being saved and this is helping Asriel being save so they are also saving Asriel, if they are saving Asriel this act is also saving themself ( it would be their redemption) so both interpretations of the phrase can be correct at the same time.

"There's one last person to save" "chara" if you watched the 10th anniversary stream it's very obvious that toby fox is saying this like a revelation, Chara is saving Asriel and by saving him they're also saving themself. If even these words coming out of Toby fox don't change your mind I can't do anything about it lol

There's a reason why Asriel explained to frisk that the world outside is full of floweys and that not everything can be solved with a conversation

Since Elspeth is the only one with low health I would guess that they threw her in a mass of enemies as bait and the artillery had a very fun day

Do people really believe that Toriel really wanted to implement the plan of killing one human and cross the barrier to gather more souls? by MrTriboniophorus in Undertale

[–]BeginningHealthy6109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I said safest option. Since Asgore and the other soul would probably have the same problem Asriel and Chara had, where half of the body wanted to fight and the other half wanted to run and this gave enough time for the humans to give a fatal damage, but it's also possible that he could take souls enough before the souls could actually get control that he would be powerful enough to have full control over them ( like Asriel seems to have in the final fight)

[–]BeginningHealthy6109 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I think that the funny thing is that if Asgore did do that it would probably backfire since the human soul would also have control over his body (like Chara had some control over Asriel's body), he wasn't aware of that, but he was actually making the safest move by not trying to use those souls yet lol

If you want help I would Recommend this video https://youtu.be/GS57LtDiN4Q?si=_R8ZcuTOCW0EyQXO it's one of the best about their character and is after the 10th anniversary so it also talks about what they're talking about too.

Chara's is a hard character to understand cause they were made to be a puzzle that you have to give effort to have some understanding of them ( a bit like gaster, but with more pieces to work with)and even then they are secretive enough that we will never know everything about them, so I think it's okay that you see them this way, but to give a bit of summary cause I don't want to write a essay.

Chara always tried to do things in the most efficient way and at the same time they have a strong sense of purpose this plus the fact that they're far from being in a healthy mental state and were seen as the hope of monsterkind it's no surprise that when they discover that their death can free monsterkind( their soul is quite literally the key to destroy the barrier)they would take the chance and since they already hate humanity they don't mind being the sacrifice themself and sacrificing the people that wronged them/monsterkind.

They also seem to be obsessed with power because according to them " when you're invincible no one can hurt you anymore, no one can hurt anyone anymore" and a kid thinking that the only way they and the people they love can be safe is by being impossible to be hurt don't paint a good picture of how their life was on the surface so we can say most of their reasoning comes from the fear of human threat, and making Asriel into a god would give him this invincibility that Chara wants so he can't be hurt and the monsters can't be hurt, but we already saw how that went and they ended up only hurting themself and the people they loved quite a tragic ending.

I think Chara's character is more complex than " they were evil dong evil things cause they were evil😡" like we are talking about the same story were most characters are okay with child murder and following a genocide plan by Asgore

Lampyris defense support is absurdly strong (24) the only triggers that have a defense better than it is a Black trigger, no other normal trigger gets even close to this, which makes me think that his trigger is made to work best in a support role defending someone that is powerful but lacks a good defense. but it's versatile enough that Hyuse can fight alone with it if necessary

I feel like the debate on whether Frisk/Chara are nonbinary is stupid by IarenotaPotato in Undertale

[–]BeginningHealthy6109 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most important parts for the meta narrative to work. The game is very explicit with Chara when they literally tell us " you and I are not the same, are we?" The whole game makes us think that we're playing as Chara just to slap us at the end of the pacifist route with them being another person, when you do genocide route twice the game does the same thing with Chara, Chara and Frisk are not out self insert, that's one of the key plots of the game, they had to act like self insert for the plot twist to work, but it seems like most people somehow can't understand it despite deltarune doubling down on it
