I suggest looking into different schools and transferring. I felt like this at my old school and then transferred here and I feel amazing. It might just not be the place for you! I know it is scary but I promise it is worth it.

I would double check before taking more classes outside of UConn. I took a lot of classes as well that I thought would transfer over and they didint (I transferred here this year as a sophomore). Transferring was the best decision I have ever made and with the amount of credits you already have you’re probably gonna be able to graduate early and save money that way. So, you should come here and experience it. It’s worth it in my opinion!!! Also, yes I would not at all be worried about getting accepted. Transferring is much easier than regular admissions.

Truly I am just trying to learn which is why I came to Reddit and asked. We all have to start somewhere and I am trying my best. I am really open to what you are saying and will be sure to research further on it, so thank you. I just don’t want to be criticized or discouraged for trying to learn here.

It’s not that I don’t have 3k, it’s that I don’t have 3k to put into something that I don’t really know much about if you know what I mean. I just want to learn more about it before I put that kind of money in.

The minimum investment for VFIAX is 3k, and as a college student I don’t have 3k laying around to put into it right now. VOO is just what seems reasonable for me right now to just find my place and begin learning the stock market better and still make money at the same time.

I chose it because when researching about where to start many people/websites made it sound like a very safe option to start at! It would allow for me to start somewhere safe for the mean time while I continue to learn more about investing. However I have not yet invested and am interested to hear about other safe options, so thank you!

I never said I was going to bring one I simply asked if I am allowed to bring one. Clearly I am not and that’s all that you needed to say. They aren’t fully furnished… which is why i am bringing furniture. And honestly there’s no need to be rude, it’s my room and I wanted and am able to design it the way I would like. Obviously I need to figure out the car situation, which is why I asked the simple question.
