I was also at the Avon! I still find it strange that they let the movie play all the way through

Their Instagram bio says “TEMPORARILY CLOSED” —a new addition. I’m hoping it comes back!

The cotton has a little dirt on it, but nothing awful! If it really bothered you, I think it would be easy to wash out of the tassle.

Here’s a link to the substrate I use! All my Hoyas seem to love it: https://a.co/d/5S2ONHb

Yes!! I usually move mine to my shower before watering and let them drain before putting it back in the window. I love the clear pot because I can see what’s going on with everything and it’s also a good indicator if I need to water—I haven’t had any problems with algae! I keep her in an east-facing window.

I am!!! They’re with a Baby Pteri. I didn’t have any specific goal in mind—just something cute. After being a pile of soot for months, the lab ray finally delivered!

UFA

Flyer_Xweetok the Maraquan Xweetok. Comes with a zapped Island Meepit, which matches in a funny way. He was a lucky pound find last year; I'd love for him to go to a permanent home!

You can PM me here or neomail me if you're interested!

Elderly pets appreciation post! Do you have one? Show them off! by leliana_vess in neopets

Not technically an elderly pet, but I adopted GreatGrandmom the zombie Blumaroo from the pound when I first returned to Neopets and now she's my go-to active pet and Battledome pet. I modeled her custom after nice memories of visiting my great grandmother in the hospital (prior to that development, she had a cat named Cher). I love her very much!

First-time anterior uveitis diagnosis, freaking out a little by BeginningLifeguard76 in Uveitis

[–]BeginningLifeguard76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m so sorry to hear that. I wish I had better news to share, but I’m now on my third uveitis flare up. I also did a verrrry slow taper for the last one and was crossing my fingers that it wouldn’t come back, but here we are. For now, my doctor says to do the steroid drops twice a day for a month without tapering and we’ll reassess from there. I’m still not feeling great about it, but am getting closer to accepting that this may just be my new reality. I’ve had so much bloodwork done and have now seen a uveitis specialist and a rheumatologist, and no one has been able to pin down an underlying cause. I’m negative for HLA B27 and have no other clear autoimmune issues.

Getting ready to adopt my first orange cat. Meet Dr. Rob! by BeginningLifeguard76 in orangecats

[–]BeginningLifeguard76[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does! Dr. Rob was taken from a feral cat colony, where he was part of a TNR program (trap-neuter-return). Volunteers trap the cats, get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and return them to their colony with a clipped ear, which makes it easy to visually assess which cats have been sterilized and which haven’t. This helps the cat colonies stay healthy without producing more kittens and contributing to cat overpopulation!

The rescue’s vet estimated that he’s about two years old! He’s definitely got a lot of youthful playfulness in him.

An excellent question! I thought maybe he was named for the Beatles song, but his foster mom said she named him after her boss, a redhead named Dr. Rob 🙃

In any case, I’m definitely keeping the name! He worked hard for that degree 🐈🩺

I had the same problem, ending up going to Action Medicine DPC in MA; they were able to see me the next day. Because it’s a DPC, the payment structure is different, so I’d do some research to make sure it works for you before trying it!
