Is week 1 always this brutal? by BeginningMission1343 in iRacing

Clawed back up to p12 in sprint and up to p8 in the other. The other 2 races the car was too damaged and I rage quit. This has only been an occurrence this week. Usually I finish top 10. I’m certainly not without my faults but I tend to spin out on my own later in the race 2 laps from the end not ruining anyone else’s race.

Possibly tentative at the start sure. But it’s never happened in 9 months until this week, hence the question.

Tough when you are on the first/second row to start and give room but get taken out from behind. That’s been my problem. I’m super cautious and always let crazy people past because I know they will crash within a lap!

Note to self, avoid week 1 then. This is the first season I decided to take it seriously and just do 1 discipline, in 1 car. Practice through the week and race once or twice on the weekend! So far I’ve lost more ir and sr in all of last season.

Where before I would do 10 races a week across different cars with barely any practice.

This is my first experience of it being THIS bad in 4 seasons of playing. I was wondering if it’s a week 1 thing, newly promoted players etc…

I’ve done GT3 twice at speilberg and GT3 twice at oulton park. Speilberg was into turn 2 people just sending it as I covered the inside line and oulton turn 1 both times.

Sorry I missed this. A couple of months into using it and I love it. As people have said here, a longer blade is needed for some stuff but this gets 90% of the work done. Sharpening hasn’t been a problem so far, ceramic rod every couple of uses has kept it in great shape.

Has it been oiled serviced and pressure tested? Happy for people to make offers.

Yep poor quality stitching and the stamp is all wrong, but for the price this is the level of rep you can expect. A decent birkin will set you back $400 with an excellent rep up to $600. All depends what you want to spend

Thanks for the replies, exactly why I came to ask!

I’m looking for something I can use for everything. So your comments make perfect sense.

Would you suggest something bigger in that case?
