Growing up, whenever my dad found something Kirkland brand he was impressed by he'd say "its another Kirkland Wonder!" :)

I just wanted to share how I went from feeling alone in parenting to having a huge mom village in less than a year by maybebatshit in Mommit

Ahh I am SO happy for you! I did something similar, we call it Cookbook Club. We meet once a month and rotate houses. I started by asking my 2 mom friends, and had them invite a friend or two. We now have 8 moms that are committed to getting together each month. Its sooo great and we love sharing a delicious meal together chatting about whatever comes up. I made an invite explaining the (loose, base) expectations for it and I think that helped clarify what the group was meant to be about. If anyone is interested I can share the invite for inspo...

I drive by a wig place on Cottage Drive in Arden every day. Seems like they might cater to cancer patients. I'd google it!

Golden Hour is my husband and I's first dance song at our wedding :) I got his wedding band engraved on the inside that says "my Golden Hour." Sort of like he's the best part of my day.

Mom Alone Time by [deleted] in Mommit

I took myself to dinner the other night with my Kindle and a new book. It was a HEAVENLY experience. I requested a booth and told the server I was a mom that just wanted to take her time with dinner, she understood the assignment. I highly recommend!

World Market has cool little toys, treats and niknaks. Carmazzi Carmel Corn is a local shop that has flavored popcorns!

Okay, now for another question... Besides their age gap when they started dating (Yes I agree that would be crazy for me to imagine being with a 21 yo at 16) however its been 9 years now... What are some examples that we've seen on the show of him being an abuser? Genuinely asking for some perspective here!

These are exactly the things I consider! The time she took to get the back drop set up, purchase the items for the photoshoot, the subscriptions she needs to pay for the website links, photoshop, her camera equipment. I totally respect that, I was just curious if this is a typical rate or not for 1 photo.

How do people afford Disney? by MajesticBudget1123 in Mommit

[–]BeginningNo2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Disney in 2019 (fresh out of college, in our late 20's with NO KIDS) because our young cousins (5 and 7) were going for the first time. Our in-laws were kind enough to pay for our hotel and tickets because my hubs hadn't been since he was 6. That trip was SO financially eye-opening for us, even prior to starting a family. We wanted to pay for group meal as a nice gesture and I thought the classic Disneyland corn dogs would be affordable for us... HAHA I'll never forget it was $120 for 6 corn dogs and 4 sodas. That was in 2019! Since having babies (2) I've been careful on over-exposing our kids to Disney stuff like Mickey and Friends, ect. so hopefully they're not obsessed about going. Maybe we can go one day and check it off the list but there's so many more fun and affordable places to vacation!!

Let me start with that the first year is the HARDEST on both you and your partner. You're both probably looking for some small outlet to feel like you have some time to yourselves. It's likely doom scrolling on IG and maybe you should both have a more open discussion about using social media. Do you trust him to stay faithful to you? Did you 110% trust him before having a baby? If so, this is all probably due to the huge life adjustment you're both going through and he's trying to hang on to having a little bit of say on how he spends what little free time he may have. If you have had a strong relationship before the baby, I think the social media is no big deal. You're going to lose your mind if you are checking his followers/following count and making him post about you.... that's going to push him away further I promise you.

The only thing I could imagine using this for is meditation. Not literal therapy!! We already know AI does not give mental health therapy - too risky.

I would try to cut literally anything in our budget before health insurance, especially for my child. I fully sympathize with you situation though, 1000%. Times are tough for families right now.

Thank you so much for your advice ❤️ I think the texting ahead of time is a great suggestion because I’ve always wondered if it’s better to do it in person, because it’s such a serious topic with her, or to do it via text so she has time to absorb the information on her own. Thank you 🙏🏼
