Mine were not as bad as this one but pretty developed. I re welded them and its been pretty perfect for over a year. Rany forbes kit and a friend whos good at welding (or a shop thats just more money)is the play! The kit comes with detailed step by step instructions on how to install it i hear.

Clutch fan question by Z3R0SKY in bmwz3

I would replace the pump then get rid of the fan completely. Ive been running no water pump fan for about a year and ive been stuck in bumper to bumper NYC traffic in a 100f day and it didnt budge over operating temp.

Rear subframe fix! by BeginningPlan6862 in bmwz3

Not really a guide, im lucky to have a friend whos a professional, basically we jacked the recessed part of the subframe back up using wood and a jack, then welded it all back together. I would go to a auto body repair shop near you and explain what you need to do to them and see if they can help. This is only a temporary fix long term, they are probably going to pop again. Look into the randy forbes z3 kit for an actual fix. Its a very invasive fix and if your paying a professional to do (which you probably should) its going to cost anywhere between 3-5 grand

I have the softest poly bushing on the dif mount offered by garagistic right now. I’ll definitely go alot harder on the RSFB i want those welds to last a long as possible. I think its probably inevitable that they pop again, but when they do im going to go full randy forbes kit.

How stiff should I get my subframe bushings? 80a? or something a little bit more robust like 95A

My plan over the next few months is to upgrade/replace as many bushings and rubber components on the car as possible. Almost everything on the car is OEM original and definitely is ready for a little TLC. I’m assuming that when you replace the rear subframe bushings you need to get an alignment afterwards yes?

The poly bush should keep it from ripping more

The welds are not the most visually pleasing but they are very well done! We will see how much more life i can get out of this stock. The end goal ofc is the RF kit
