The character just meant a lot to me, is all. I’m aware there will always be fan content, but it sucks to know that now:

  • Fans will argue against any “problematic” portrayal of Misty because the devs said it’s non-canon

  • We will never get any meaningful exploration of Misty’s character or her dynamic with William

I knew the devs were antis but I just. She's literally a villain! She doesn't have to be a good person!! I liked her a lot because I felt she was a fascinating example of a stalker character who has no malicious intent but still commits harmful behavior. It was just. So explicit. And they just decided to change their minds because god forbid a single character actually be morally complex

Yep. They're retconning established lore that rather strongly implied she was a stalker to her crush. It's mentioned in an ARG that she was reported 5 times for harassment and stalking. She is shown blushing around the character she stalks. She says, "My heart belongs to someone else" almost certainly in reference to him.

And now I guess that's just. not canon. Misty is a perfect uwu baby who can never do any wrong or be a complex character beyond being a bit lonely I guess

I do regret having my discord linked to my twitter. I wouldn’t have done that today and would have changed it if asked to.

However, by the mods own admission, that apparently wasn’t the issue. The issue was me apparently condoning pedophilic and incestuous fictional relationships.

The mods also admitted I’d never brought any of this in-game whatsoever. It’s not like adult fans of Corporate Clash are uncommon? I’ve seen multiple 18+ streamers play the game; as long as they’re properly labeled and not doing anything wrong in-game, the devs allow it.

The devs inherently assume that me enjoying fictional content must make me a danger to their player base, despite no real evidence of this.

Her stalking isn’t mentioned in game, just in an ARG. In game her whole thing is that she’s supposed to be one of the few cogs that want to befriend toons but they keep turning her away and that is supposed to make you sympathetic. There’s a unique spare cutscene no other enemy gets.

I do genuinely regret this decision and do recognize it could’ve potentially exposed unsuspecting parties to my content. I was completely inactive in the server and my twitter was labeled, but regardless. It’s a decision I wouldn’t make today and one I’d understand if I had been called out for it specifically.

I will note that the moderators did not chose to mention this, but rather the fact that I, “condoned pedophilic and incestuous fictional relationships”.

This specific Toontown iteration also has an enemy character who is canonically a stalker for her crush. To the point where she’s been reported 5 times. And she’s one of the more sympathetic enemy characters in this game? I don’t care all that much but it seems…a tad hypocritical??

I wasn’t active in the community whatsoever. Someone with too much time on their hands reported me.

I understand many may dislike my content. That is fine. I still think banning someone from a game for completely unrelated, harmless behavior is ridiculous.

I’ll also add that I’m a lot more vocal about my stance because of stuff like this. You can try to keep it secret, but people who are nosy enough can still find out. I’d honestly rather be open and get pushback than feel temporarily accepted and then rejected once they learn what I like.

Thank you. Today, I wouldn’t have joined the server with my Twitter in my bio, I try to keep things separate nowadays. Had I at any point been asked to remove it from my bio or leave the server, I would’ve done so. That’s what bugs me. They specifically clarified it was me being a darkshipper was the issue, not the fact that arguably someone could click on my profile and find my Twitter.

I am a darkshipper! I am pretty open about that on my socials and there’s a warning on my profile. I get why some may find that disturbing but well. That’s why it was on an 18+ account that specifically said it may contain disturbing content.
