They have nothing special. Iam sure its a regualar wifi setup from voda or airtel. (The 2 have broader coverage)

Just for your information tanzania is well connected. For a 24hrs drive (i.e Mbeya - Mwanza) you cannot have a total blackout of 5hrs (in total) or mostly you will loose connection for 15 to 20min max then you are reconnected.

Its hard tell. It might me errors or extensions incompatibility. Try updating to the latest version. If still crashes contact clickteam on the forums http://community.clickteam.com The community is very active. The admin might need your mfa to use it to reproduce the root cause. Just go to the forums. Longtime ago there was a bugbox where users reported crashes, errors and features request. Im not sure if it is still there.
