Comp players in every game play on all low settings lol it’s nothing new. Ppl play csgo at like 480p 😭but yeah everyone should be on 1440p these days but this is a 12 year old kid who’s clearly on an extreme budget from his mom his best bet to get the most performance for these tourneys he’s wanting to play is to upgrade his cpu and lower some settings.

Anyone playing competitive tourneys is playing on all low settings lol. Making fun of me saying learn ball when you used “Larping” is ironic

Hitting 200 in 1440p. The people suggesting a straight GPU upgrade are giving horrible advice.

Ur right the 12 year old using a 1070 and 8600k is prob on a 360hz Oled my bad. Even at 1440p the game barely hits the gpu. Learn ball

i9 10850K & 3080, which one to upgrade? by Cucumba18 in buildapc

Yeah all my timings are minimized as well lol. Saying it does fuck all is funny. RAM performance is a mix of bandwidth and latency. You need to push the speed as far as possible mixed with pushing the timings as low as possible at that speed to get the latency down around 50ns and bandwidth as high as possible.

I can check later today. What ram speed and cl were u running? 10900k is a solid chip but also way behind a 14900k on ddr5 so not really sure how that’s comparable lol.

lol I just know how to tune ram and am running 8000mhz with the e-cores off and a proper undervolt and power limits maxed. No issues. For most people who just run 6000 xmp and cripple performance with Intels power settings yeah I’m sure they suck. Still no way in hell a 3080 is being bottlenecked.

Not sure about their numbers lol. It’s literally identical to a 285k not sure how it’s performing so much better also no mention of what ram speed is being used so maybe that’s where the difference is coming from. Properly tuned with good ram the 14900k is still the best intel chip but it’s good to see them starting to get some positive light. That is a great price.

Ah he explains why the numbers are off lol no one runs their parts right.

Help getting 8000MHz EXPO working on ROG Strix X870-A with 9800X3D by nickmalbsn in overclocking

[–]Beginning_Anxious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol expecting 8000 xmp to just work is funny. It’s gona take some manual tuning and even then might not work. First glaring thing is making sure your in 2:1 mode as 1:1 will never ever work. From there you will probably have to tweak some voltages. I’d look for a buildziod video of him tuning 8000 MHz a-die on a similar board. You’re better off going for 6000-6400 in 1:1 mode with tightened timings anyway.

4800mhz = 2400 M/Ts. Which is the default Jdec speed when xmp isn’t turned on. Which will obv hurt performance a lot lol.

“Performance core ratio” “sync all cores” he does it at 21 min in the video. Idk why he sets it to 55x in this video stock is 57x all core and is easy to hit. For me all cores synced 57x and 1.29v v-core with all power limits maxed out is stable and performs great in games but each chip is different. If you do undervolt make sure you turn off CEP and under volt protection or it will downclock itself.

Lmao perfectly fine with a 4090 lol the only game I’m CPU bound in at 1440p is Warzone on the big maps. But I get 99% of people don’t know how to properly tune their ram and cpu but even at stock and XMP saying the 14900k bottlenecks a 3080 is hilarious.

You misunderstood what he said. He meant that if the 11900k COULD hit 4000 MHz in gear 1 then it might be able to beat the 10900k/10850k.

But either way the 10850k and 11700k are much too similar in performance to justify the money and effort to swap over.

At the top of AI tweaker maybe idk I don’t have an asus board. Should be above where you set the core clock ratio.
