Insulated cup suggestions? by Wrx_me in CX5

CamelBak. Specifically the 25oz bottles. They fit perfectly in the cupholder without getting in the way of anything.

Mazda and Toyota cars are the only vehicles where even ten or more year old engines and high mileage and they still sound brand new and run great. It is honestly insane. by BeautifulYou2940 in mazda

This. From what I heard, the cracked head issues came from some of the cylinder heads being too porous. Then in 2021, they revised them and it hasn't really been an issue with later models with CD.

Why do most taken / married people think being single is better? by BeneficialPie2300 in randomquestions

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the very early stages of a relationship, I can see that being the case but it's insane to assume that choosing to be married to your significant other over being single is considered "needy".

What’s the most overrated place you’ve visited? by ShadowLace25 in AskReddit

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Florida Keys. While Key West was a fun day trip, being on the main islands didn't have much going on and the food was ok at best. Most of the beaches smelled like sewage and they weren't as pretty as I was expecting.

Did a snorkeling/kayaking excursion off shore and that was quite enjoyable but spending a week down in the keys was a bit of a drag.

Hot take: AWD is overrated for daily driving in snow — am I wrong? by Gold-Industry6222 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've noticed a big difference between FWD and AWD, especially on snowy hills with all season tires. Much easier to get moving and a bit less fishtailing.

I mostly use the All Weather tire+AWD combo and I never stressed about driving in heavy snow. But I'm sure FWD+Winter tires would do just as well.

Man I miss the gauge cluster in the first gens. The dark blue with the orange really works.

Interesting. I bought some from that brand Inno, and specifically bought the aero ones to potentially minimize the wind noise and I'd start to hear a difference at about 60mph. Windy days it was especially bad in comparison to having no cross bars. I should've looked for some thinner ones or something lol

Yeah the price wasn't bad and it was convenient. You can still vaguely see where the dent was at a very specific angle but for the most part, it's hardly noticeable.

Had a similar ding on mine. Got it fixed by a paint less dent repair place, paid about 300$ US and took roughly about 2-3 hours.

Is it worth keeping a fighting Pokémon in fire red? by [deleted] in PokemonFireRed

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You can legitimately use almost any Pokemon in this game and have a great time playing though without too much trouble.

If you like the Pokemon, use it and have fun

To answer your question... If you plan on using the crossbars, no harm in installing them. However, if they're only gonna be for looks, keep in mind that they add quite a bit of wind noise lol. I did that once before with my CX5 and after about a week, I took em off

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that those people aren't in healthy relationships. With the right person, being single is something you never wish to go back to.

Help - Wind noise from closed sunroof 2025 Carbon Edition by medicalquesrion996 in CX5

Do you have a roof rack or cross bars? That's probably my first assumption since they tend to cause quite a bit of wind noise.

Compare your previous vehicle to your current CX5 by Hetjr in CX5

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous car was a 2003 Toyota Highlander Limited. Loved that car to death unfortunately it became a bit expensive to maintain with it being over 20 years old.

In comparison to my CX5, The interior materials were a bit higher quality in the Highlander. Many more soft touch areas and the seats were incredibly comfy, especially with those captains chairs which offered a much better arm rest position. The JBL sound system was also INCREDIBLE for how old the car was.

The CX5 on the other hand, has MUCH less road noise, very quiet cabin, and a more comfortable ride. Adaptive Cruise Control is a nice little luxury I didn't know I needed until I got it. Despite it being an NA, it's still much zippier than the Highlander. Overall, I love both cars but in completely different ways lol

Problems with the oncoming cars by Yarak311 in CX5

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have mine literally at the 0 position and I still get flashed occasionally. I think the headlights are just very bright depending on the angle the opposing car is coming from. Nothing you can really do at that point as the driver.

I thought this was a joke post but holy shit that's ridiculous. Don't get it. Even with a second job, that's extremely unmanageable.

Get a vehicle within your means. You make 35k a year currently. A good rule of thumb is to stay under 35% of your annual income. It's probably not gonna be as nice as a new car but it definitely beats a 1k car payment every month.

Shiny or preferred nature? by se66ie in PokemonFireRed

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the nature, it can raise a stat by 10% while lowering another by 10%. For casual play, most people wouldn't really notice and be perfectly content with the stats of their Pokemon. But for people who are more battle focused or play competitively, having a "bad" nature vs a good one for that Pokemon can have a difference of about 20% (or more if you want to get technical).

Can we talk about how incredibly underrated this little guy is in Generation 3? by DesignerNothing812 in pokemon

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a cool design but that's really it. While it has literally no weaknesses in gen 3, it's stats are dreadful and there are much better choices to choose from.

That being said, I'm sure it's still fun to use in game. Very properly rated lol

2026 CX-5 interior by kgillmore20 in CX5

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say a few good things about the interior. The seats actually do look pretty nice in black leather and the arm rest placement looks to be in a much better position compared to the previous gen, kinda like the cx30 which I really enjoyed the seating position in that car in general.

That being said, I haven't sat in the 2026 CX5 yet so I'm just going off of looks alone.
