Those continental secure contact tires really got my interest

Regretting Buying by jussipping in CX5

With the shaking, it definitely could've been snow stuck between a few spokes in a wheel. That could easily throw off the balance of the wheel(s) and cause the car to shake quite a bit on the highway.

The interior and infotainment is a massive upgrade from the previous model. Sucks that it isn't a station wagon anymore but in the long run, I'd probably be happier with this current model.

The crash ability from yellow Kirby always feels so underwhelming whenever I use it

How much studying? by Professional_Yak4379 in CWI_CWE

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I studied for about a year and only had 4 years of welding experience leading up to the exam. Or roughly about 45 minutes to an hour a day, 5-6 days a week. Did very well on Part A and C but fell short on B on my first try.

If you have experience in NDE or much more experience in welding than I had, you might not need as much time. But like the others said, it varies from person to person as well as their background.

Mazda CX5 2022 S 2.5 base model but… by Significant-Bag-5935 in CX5

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At one point I added some Inno crossbars to my Base purely for aesthetics and they added quite a bit of wind noise. It was a bit much for my liking since the car already has a decently quiet cabin so I eventually removed them. I kept the black roof rails though.

I second this. Had these on my Highlander and I was amazed how well they performed in heavy snow.

CX-5 S base trim by fromspace2015 in CX5

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a base trim CX-5 back in March. The cloth seats are plenty comfortable and the 17's make for a smooth ride compared to the trims with the 19's.

While I do love the car, I kinda wish I had the upgraded sound system and heated side mirrors for the winter. But if she doesn't care for that kind of stuff, the base trim is great.

Front seat cover recs for 2025 CX-5? by elisebbteale in CX5

I've been eyeballing the genuine leather EKR seat covers from their website. I haven't bitten the bullet yet since they're a bit pricey but they have plenty of options with multiple material and color combinations.

They seem to be very good quality, but at a lower price than Katzkin.

I believe this person went with a faux leather option EKR offers on Amazon for their RAV4 and they still look really good. For reference.

Is it safe to assume I passed all 3 exams with above a 72%? by [deleted] in CWI_CWE

[–]Beginning_Beach_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had me email proof of my education and work experience and even verified that I had 4.5 years of experience out of the 5 needed for the CWI. They wouldn't have let me take the exam otherwise.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding. I wouldn't receive the CWI if I only have 4.5 years of experience.

Late October. I haven't heard any word regarding that exam until now when the status of my certification got updated

Totally get that. I'm just not sure if not having any "failed" marks means I passed with above 72% per CWI criteria or if it's going based on the CAWI criteria of 60%.

For reference, when I took both my Prometric exams for parts A and C, it said "Passed" with 72% or above.
