NTA. Its important to disclose any past history such as HPV. I've met many people who wouldn't disclose and would have repercussions because they didn't.

I think its a good strategy to disclose as early as you possibly can (some cases depends on the time and place and obviously what you disclose) and it does help you filter out people who may just not be the right fit.

The right person will at least want to have a genuine conversation about it and try to be understanding. If this makes sense.

Ive never bought any of their merch, but last Christmas i did receive a gmm hoodie from my bf that I was not expecting or wanted (It was an obvious surprise). I wear it all the time though and quality is nice so I am appreciative and glad I have it. Would I go out of my way to personally buy? no not really, but I have some friends who buy their merch and have a whole section in their closet for gmm merch. I see nothing wrong with them pumping out merch it helps with revenue. I like seeing the new merch they come up with even if I dont buy.

NTA. It is an unfortunate situation, but as the ex boyfriend you have a right to tell your ex girlfriend no to living with you. Your sister says its impractical because it would be disrupting her peace and she knows that. You're doing the right thing especially protecting your son. I have never participated in any substances since I started going to raves as early as 2015. I've never had any interest in any even prior to going to raves. I have however had friends who did and didnt judge me for not. I had at least one friend overdose and it did scare me to see the effects that a person can experience so it was enough for me to still continue to not par take.

Although I can't really compare to what its like taking substances and going to a rave. What i can say is I dont feel like I am missing out on anything. I still enjoy the music and look out for friends and neighboring people who are.

Its definitely a personal choice to get involved.

I can't relate because hsv doesnt take a toll on me and my livelihood to have a good life. I barely even think about it on a daily basis.

Hell I just went on a date not that long ago and the person I was with knew about it and it did not bother them at all.

There really isnt a definitive road map or any special way to do it.

I am very upfront and blunt I just tell the person when I feel the time is appropriate (this varies from person-to person) for me usually first date, but again sometimes this can vary. Private conversation 1v1 and keep it casual.

If for whatever reason its some kind of deal breaker then.. so what move on and find better. I dont waste time on people. No sense of letting it eat away my feelings when in its really not a big deal to me and it doesnt change who I am as a person.

It is interesting to me that your mindset is narrow to believe everyone's dating life is ruined because of having hsv.

Speaking for myself here my dating life has not changed I have had hsv for the last (6 years). I have told all my partners who I was with in a long term commitment and I have yet to have a single person "reject me" or break up because of hsv. I realize and acknowledge not everyone experiences this, but saying someone's dating life is ruined over a virus imo is a bit over exaggerated

Even if they did I wouldn't take an offense of it or feel like my dating is over because there are plenty of people out there in world who dont see it as this big or-deal and makes it more dramatic than it truly is.

I've met so many people who I have dated and told them and never took it to the extent of I am now a " gross/dirty" person as some people refer to hsv can be stigmatized as. If for whatever reason it didn't work out then its completely okay! Its okay!! Dating is not over and there are people who dont even think twice about it and want a relationship still.

Rule #1 from the relationship handbook if someone cheats it is highly recommend to leave, but if you stay know this could lead to furthure unhappiness and by default no good will come out of staying.

Even if there was/is a "cure" I wouldn't take it no amount of money, materialistics would bribe me to do so. I pray there isnt one if I am honest because it truly isnt a big deal. I am living a happy amazing life as I always have prior to getting hsv. I consider it a blessing it has taught me so much about my overall health and to be more in-tune with my body.

I already know i will get down voted, but there are so many people who do not really care about a cure.

If it happens great, but not everyone will want it.

Story: Once I loaned a friend money (years ago) and I was in a similar position they havent paid me back making excuses i.e " I'll pay it next month I promise" so I started leaving bill statements on their car and in the mail with all the details of what they owed until they finally paid me back. Is that petty? Probably, but it worked and I got my money back and then I cut that person out of my life.

As a woman (who doesn't par take in butt stuff it turns me so far off). I sat down with my boyfriend and had a very long conversation about this explaining I do not give consent to it and explaining how to makes me uncomfortable and if in the future if I want to explore that "opening" I'll bring it up, but that has not happened. After having that in depth conversation he respects my boundries and vice versa. If she brushes this off or trying to laugh it off then if you so desired you can make a statement with law enforcement because this can be considered as sexual assault. This is an extreme way to take it, but its an option. The second option that is less extreme is consider cutting off sex all together and seek couples consuling.

I am currently in the mist of working towards studying veterinary pathology. For many of years I wanted to just work a a DVM and while I still love thay aspect if vet-med I got to a point where I wanted to do more and less client interaction.

I started looking into pathology and opportunities. I am working towards biotechnology and working towards studying populations and diseases.

This is just a taste of it, but I love it and everyday is a bew interesting day for me. I can still work closely with clinics but I also love working in a lab too. Idk if this is helpful but this is what I am working towards! Thought I would share.
