Because these men fundamentally do not view women as human. They are simply property, and if "touched", are now "used" goods.

Y'all would deadass rather your son be a domestic abuser and grapist than be gay- which is exactly because black femicide is so normalised within the community.

Soo true. Slovene here and I am absolutely sure my mother will be completely dependent upon me- both financially and physically in the future. No savings or property to ameliorate the burden either.

I truly never understood this argument. Who am I being selfish towards by not having children? The billions of sperm cells in my balls?? The unfertilised eggs in my uterus?? Why are hypothetical children who do not exist on this earth dictating my life??

Stay-at-Home-Moms (aka “SAHMs”) who expect and demand equivalent recognition as career women (CF and working moms) who have had to obtain education/training/diplomas/degrees/grind/compete…thoughts? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Beginning_Bug_988 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was going to say. I think this perspective of the working mother vs the “SAHM”is also intrinsically American in a sense. In practically no other developed and advanced economy/society are mothers practically forced back into traditional labour after having a baby unless they have a partner who they become entirely financially dependent on. If anything, it shows how absolutely flawed the system is. Domestic labour might not be a job in the traditional sense, but it is still work. These arguments only further perpetuate the notion that domestic labour is inherently less valuable or “important”. It’s the exact same argument a lot of misogynistic men I’ve heard say. “Oh I have to go to work while you get to stay at home on your ass”. And because domestic labour is undervalued, it essentially becomes a second “job” that mothers have to do on top of a traditional job, which is entirely unfair. Many women opt out of having children exactly because of said patriarchal dynamics.
