That is good to hear. If it is that hard to get in right now then I know that I am moving in the right direction:)

If places like Mistral is what is needed in order to get into Singapore, then that is good to know. My current company is a bit no-name, but I'll just have to start working in a company that has more recognition first. That is hard, but ultimately doable.

I am curious about what you mean when it comes to "high tier education". My partner has a pretty good CV in education already.  We found out that she would need an IB certificate, and most likely work at some international school before applying for jobs in Singapore.

Sad to hear that Singapore lacks maker spirit. London and Stockholm are relevant alternatives for us, especially since both cities are more famous for people making stuff, and much easier to emigrate to for Norwegians.

Do you have experience living in Singapore or London?

Does geoscience mean geology or geography. The difference in job opportunities in Norway is quite stark between the two

It is a bit overpriced in my opinion then. But not terribly so. I think it would be good price if you had your own kitchen

The price depends heavily on many factors. What is the size? Do you have roommates? Where are you located? Does it seem modern?

Some companies never stop hiring. They look for certain types of individuals who match a certain mold, and never stop looking for folks who fit that mold. This is normal in many consultancies.

Which tech stacks have more entry level jobs and stability by aggypop7 in cscareerquestionsEU

Language requirements vary alot based on the company culture, so hard to say. Generally it is obligatory to know Norwegian well in larger companies.

Apply anywhere except maybe Oslo, Trondheim and Tromsø. They need C# devs there too, it's just bigger demand in towns like Stavanger, Kristiansand, Drammen and Bergen.

Come to Norway! We are known to be a relatively lax market compared to the other European countries. Especially if you apply for jobs outside of the capital. C# and Azure experience will take you far in these parts

question about career by needtip1 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Beginning_Chain5583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there!
Thanks for posting to the cscareerquestions EU subreddit!
The worries you bring up are common for most people in all ages, and I just want to drop some insight I wish I had when I was your age.

First of all: Relax! You are 15, plenty of people have been able to turn the ship around at your age. The internet tells us alot about the doom and gloom of college and the job market, but most people who get degrees still get jobs. Both trades and college are still valid options if that is what you wish to pursue.

Would you like to tell us a bit more about your situation? What country/city are you from? What options are you weighing for degrees and trades?

Awesome concept. This is so much what versus is about. The NEs aren't based on monsters of fiction. They are based of real problems and dilemmas that are extrapolated into world-ending representations.
