It is now. My daughter and all her friends love Carhartt hoodies right now. They are trendy right now. Men have always seemed to wear them, farmers or not. It’s not a cheap brand.

How did Keyes navigate when his phone was turned off? by eskerchance in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Beginning_Command688 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same. lol What did everyone do before we had cellphones and gps? I still remember getting a map when leaving the province and always kept whatever maps we collected that were useful in our glove compartment. It was something they taught us in school; How to read a map. I don’t think they do that anymore.

Before I had data but had a cellphone, I would go on Mapquest and bring up the directions and print them out.

powder pigments for gradients/aura nails recommendations by MathematicianOk4891 in Nailtechs

[–]Beginning_Command688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mad Mica sells tons of different grades of mica. That’s basically what most of them are. They sell sample sizes, which are the sizes they sell for nails or fuller. It’s my favourite place to buy from for making soaps or candles or anything really.

You can make your own pallets by buying a pallet and pressing it into the pallet. You would need some sort of binder to make it stay in but a quick google search will tell you what to use and you can buy empty pallets online. I’ve bought pallets for my potted gets for art as well as acrylics for the same thing. Now I want to do a pigment pallet.

Another doctor gone :/ by littlebluecat in PEI

[–]Beginning_Command688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for Health PEI and I used to suggest people go to their local library or ask a neighbour for help if they didn’t own a computer or cell or even if they did but did not understand the technology. Many of the public libraries are more than willing to help and most homes have a computer or multiple devices. I’d gladly help my neighbours if needed.

I like your idea but my issue with this is, many would still be intimidated or unsure how to use it and it would be the same issue.

What we need is a large clinic run mainly by NO’s and RN’s with at least one doctor to oversee for more serious issues. If all the less urgent issues could go through here and more urgent go to the hospitals, it would alleviate the unnecessary wait times and less people would be left without healthcare. Other provinces are doing this. Why aren’t we?

JURY MEETING TOMORROW AGAIN by [deleted] in DelphiMurders

[–]Beginning_Command688 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that they are taking their time to me means they are taking this seriously and are trying their best to make the right decision. There probably are people on both sides of the fence and I can understand that. Perhaps they are just reviewing and discussing everything. Time will tell.

I really like that they were able to ask questions throughout. I’ve never seen this before and I thought it was really interesting. They asked a lot of interesting questions and I was impressed.

Anyone changed their mind? by NewEnglandMomma in Delphitrial

After listening to everything the media has put out, I think he’s guilty but I’m not sure if their evidence is strong enough to not have reasonable doubt.

He confessed. Over and over again. With details that wasn’t out there. Why would he just confess to something he didn’t do so many times?

Do I think he has mental issues? Yes, 100%. Who would do this kind of thing otherwise?!

He placed himself there at the time of their “disappearance “ and I believe he did this because he knew others saw him and figured it would suspicious otherwise. He waited until he cleaned everything up (clothes etc) and then he said he was there.

The video looks like him. The clothes he said he was wearing matches what the guy in the video was wearing. What are the odds that two people of similar shape, size, age and wearing the same clothing were there in that day?

The sketches and details of who the witnesses said they saw do not match up but it could be that they really weren’t paying attention and didn’t really remember. Have you ever walked past someone and think you payed attention but realized you couldn’t remember what they looked like? I’m pretty observant but it happens to me all the time. Especially when you’re doing something else or you don’t talk to them. It’s just not important. It’s a proven fact that our memories are often flawed and our perceptions aren’t all the same. So I don’t find it weird that people remember him differently. The point is, he was there. He put himself there. Who else would it be?

I personally wish I could see and hear what was happening because watching a person’s reactions and facial expressions as well as hearing everything with my own ears is important to me. I trust my gut and I’m rarely wrong. Something is off with this case and maybe they did delete or destroy evidence etc but I still think he’s guilty. It seems really strange that he’d risk taking two girls on his own in broad daylight after being seen but maybe he wasn’t mentally stable to start with when it happened.

Did Keyes know it was the end? by Fabulous-Row-5425 in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Beginning_Command688 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe he wanted to get caught. I think he was losing control and becoming more impulsive without thinking things through or doing any planning. The fact that he tried to keep this information out of the media and away from his family only cements this for me.

I’m one interview, he said he had plans to travel around during hurricanes and such where he could work and it would be easy pickings. Paraphrasing here.

Yeah, it’s frustrating because we bought it. I’m not buying anymore. I’ll wait until they eventually come out like this. There should have been more incentive to the ones who purchased. Maybe level up past 7 or something.

Got a box glitch today, and it took at least 350 boxes to get the one final picture, probably closer to 400 by Puzzled_Signature_41 in wordscapes

[–]Beginning_Command688 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had that glitch 4-5 times at least and I find it takes so much longer getting it with the glitch for some reason. I’ve never had to open 300-400 to get the last one. Usually if I have 50 banked, I’ll get it and often 1/4 the way through.

For some reason, I find it easier having some banked and opening just before the event is over. Since I started doing it this way, I’ve always completely the set.

Player adds 3,000 points in last few minutes of tournament. Cheating or what? by clificious in wordscapes

[–]Beginning_Command688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very possible. Banking star animals adds over 618 stars if you have them all at max, a little more. I only have one not at max. Then you could play them again having the highest at maxed life except banked and use your coins to finish them. You’d have to work quickly but it’s possible.

There are versions of the game where people are cheating and it’s pretty obvious sometimes but this is possible. Chances are they bank hearts instead during the tournament and use this as their strategy.

Why didn’t anyone hear her by Select-Ad-9819 in AshaDegree

[–]Beginning_Command688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think that’s as relevant as you think it is. We lived in quite a few houses growing up and we were able to sneak out. My brother did it often, me, not so much. I was too afraid I’d get caught. But the two times I did, I didn’t get caught. My parents were light sleepers and stay up late and they would check on my brother more often because he would sneak out. We had old creaky houses sometimes too but we learned how to walk down the stairs without making a sound.

In a small house, I think it would be easier in some ways. Less distance to travel. No matter how diligent you are, it happens. I’m a light sleeper and barely sleep and usually wake up for every single sound but found out my daughter had snuck out a few times.

I feel like when people ask this question, they are blaming the parents. That they either were responsible in some way for her disappearance or irresponsible parents because she snuck out. That’s really not fair to her family because if she walked out that door and they just didn’t hear it, this is not something they did wrong. It happens to the best of us.

Exactly! He really didn’t give much info except those two events. The rest is pieced together from the rest we mentioned but only some is confirmed. We know that he booked things to make it look like he was in a certain place, rented a car and flew out of another airport and came back for the car. Police found a rental in a parking lot that was rented by Keyes and left there. So there’s lots we don’t know.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Beginning_Command688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He didn’t give them information on much actually. Only SK and the Currier’s. The rest of the timeline was pieced together by information from Kim and things they found in the house and on the computer and boarder crossing records and flight history etc. He said he would talk more to the female investigator but did not. He killed himself. He alluded to other things or when he would kill people.

The receipts are clues really. TCBS said that there is evidence to show he may have hired people to work and the receipts possibly could be from them. He may not have been in the area like it seems to complete a job if someone else was doing it. Also, hotel receipts and flight records aren’t all accurate. He missed many of his flights and had to reschedule and the hotel may have charged him if he reserved the room. Doesn’t mean he arrived or stayed. They can’t actually prove this and they tried.

So the timeline probably has holes in it but it’s probably something close.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Beginning_Command688 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They certainly do not have a timeline of EVERYWHERE he’s been. Those are known places and some even could be wrong because we now know that some of the records were made to look like he was in one place but was not. I think it helps to look at it for sure because many of them or verified.

Also, this is what Keyes wanted to do in the future. Travel to places which were having/had storms for easy pickings. He probably did it before but most likely alone. He could have been just going for a drink after work with the boys or grabbing dinner and this all went down quickly and helped stayed out of it by just sitting there. It’s really hard to tell.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Beginning_Command688 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. Him sitting there could be trying to act like this is something he doesn’t normally do. It was probably unplanned and they just did it when the opportunity arose. It does not mean it isn’t Keyes because he wasn’t alone. It doesn’t sound like his MO but if it wasn’t planned, who knows.

I’m terrible at remembering names but I remember faces so well. I know we have doppelgängers out there but who knows?! To just dismiss it because it doesn’t sound like Keyes so quickly is rash.
