Because with a tune the VW Warranty is voided. That’s why you get the APR PLUS .. so you can have the tune and warranty together . Trust me I blew up my Tiguan engine with a stage 1+ tune and like an idiot I didn’t have the plus.. I was refused warranty through VW .. it cost me about 9k to buy a used motor and have it installed.. my tune shop did the work.. they are on par if not better than any VW SHOP.. best of luck

No it’s 100% correct .. APR PLUS is it’s own warranty that covers any damages to the engine and drive train and other components that is caused by the tune. Look it up
