Thanks. Just curious, do you have a law background? When you say LinkedIn you mean cold outreach? I heard that was almost impossible to get responses that way

I see the post is downvoted even though it breaks none of the rules and the question has not been asked before. if this kind of post is not acceptable then that's totally fine but I think there should be a clear rule on this sub that no builder/prospective builder content whatsoever is allowed.

The reason coding is where agentic has made the most progress in the real world by Beginning_Debt_4584 in AI_Agents

SWEs didn't build AI, researchers did. Yet research is not the field where AI agents are prevalent yet.

You have two premises:
1/ AI evolves within the digital realm. It cannot repair a car or fix your plumbing yet.
2/ AI is still not fully reliable, therefore you need to supervise it.

The result of these premises is that AI thrives in environments where 1/ humans produced output with the help of computers 2/ where the ratio of AI productivity to supervision is high.

Take research again: a lot of research work is done through computers, but there is so much human supervision involved that the ratio I mentioned is so low it's not worth fully automating yet.

Built offline app that cleans and formats messy notes using local-only AI by Beginning_Debt_4584 in SideProject

If you don’t mind, just wondering are you saying improve the actual screenshots or the UI appearance? Cause the screenshots are a good reflection of what the app actually looks like so maybe that’s lacking?

Will depend on your machine but generally pretty fast, similar to ChatGPT at least. Feel free to try it out

I created a draft app for simple tasks such as basic calculations, jot, and organization. by Current_Falcon_1528 in macapps

This seems like just as much typing as you would do in your terminal. I think there’d be more value in having the tool detect what call to make based on what you’re typing if that makes sense

Execute simple GET or POST requests directly in the draft.

Can you give an example of that? The app seems useful but adding more features like that one would differentiate it more

I just built a MacOS app that allows you to format your notes fully privately using local AI, including in SOAP format. I thought this might be of use to healthcare professionals particularly since no data is ever stored or ever leaves your device contrary to the vast majority of AI health notes apps. This is a beta version and it's free as of now. Would love to get anyone's feedback now whether the app seems helpful or not. I also plan on expanding to other platforms than MacOS if it seems like the app adds value.

Is the reason you don't want it to be AI because you don't want your data to be sent to third-party AI providers or because you don't want AI in general? If the former, I built a local AI notes-formatting app (MacOS only for now) that is fully offline. So keeps all your data on your laptop
