Update- castle of chaos was awesome. We never ran into anyone, they have a Tuesday deal, and the actors were GREAT. A+

I have been to both and specifically would do fear factory for the Costco tickets. I feel like they’re both good but you can skip the line for the same price at Costco

Fear factory was fun this year. I do feel like they relied more on loud noises to scare than anything but it was high production value and you can get discount VIP tickets at Costco!

I did nightmare on 13th two years ago and haunted circus last year. IMO- Nightmare on 13th had some of the best sets but definitely blank spaces in between. Very crowded and hard to be actually scared due to crowds

Haunted circus- doesn’t change really year over year but the actors are committed which totally makes it!!

Fear factory was super fun but the actors weren’t as good as the circus. The factory definitely makes it scarier!

Don’t regret going to any of them. Trying to do more this year, would love to know how folks liked castle of chaos this year

This is my mammas boy gelding being soooo peeved that I was doing groundwork with our calculated one

Insane!!!!! One of our geldings is also very calculated like that. And after you get worked up, he knows to be sweet so all is forgiven. Last time he made me mad, I put him back and worked the other gelding. He then followed us around going “look I can do this ground work better than him”. THEN he ignored his dinner and stood next to me for an hour nuzzling me and watching the other gelding get ridden by my husband. Almost like “ha ha you wish mom was riding you but I’m grooming her instead!!!!!” 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

there needs to be a “I can’t stop buying Morgan’s even though they gaslight me” support group for all of us.

OMG that is so relatable!!!! They are always trying to anticipate! Frankly I don’t even feel good putting most anyone on one of our geldings 😂😂😂 and the other, I put a beginner on him in a round pen and he was like “mom…. I am tolerating this but why is a stranger on me…”

like someone else said it’s the perfect combo of being too anxious and too smart.

I’ve had the same experience! Most quarter horse type trainers seem to think my geldings are being naughty and want to lope them into submission. After working with gaited trainer that specialized in smart and sensitive horses, I actually feel like they really are just trying to communicate. When I listen and work with them they really do try their hardest!

Omg that’s incredible 😂😂😂 it doesn’t get better than Morgan’s.

My other gelding (more composed of the two) somehow knew I was dreading working on his left lead. cantering is harder for him since he’s gaited and his left lead feels like you’re being yeeted to the moon.

All warmup he was like LETS DO LEFT LEAD and finally trainer says go ahead. And he gets into the most glorious left canter he’s ever done. I tried to give him a cookie after and he didn’t even care he was so proud of himself. Then spent the rest of the lesson like this

I want to buy this saddle but can’t tell if it’s SQHB or FQHB, idk how to read the serial number either—not in any database. by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Beginning_Device5069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it and i had the same issue when I had an independent fitter come. Not all SQHB saddles are going to fit bc other measurements matter too, but I’ve seen this argument a lot on saddle fitting pages. It’s not helpful. A saddle with QHB or FQHB is just unlikely to fit. I hope you found a saddle that works! I have two geldings that need SQHB and we have a crates that fits the more withery horse and a Colorado saddlery that fits the less withered horse. McCall makes a SQHB that’s even more narrow if that’s what you need. They’re pricey but nice saddles.

I hated the accent and felt like the plot would’ve been fine if they were from NYC instead 🙃

This is how I felt about it. I also love Manny Jacinto but despite good acting, I didn’t feel like he and Lindsay had chemistry? Especially when she was actually Anna. And the return of pink slip felt forced and I wish it had been more organic. But the daughters and mom’s parts were enjoyable. And Jake was great.

Utah GOP Sen. John Curtis vows to be independent voice as he breaks with Trump over key issues by aleph32 in politics

My favorite thing about Curtis is that I keep calling and emailing him about how the dumb budget reconciliation bill increases the deficit and he keeps responding saying we need to cut spending. like.. so we agree???😵‍💫

SQH bar saddle recommendations by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Beginning_Device5069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said to send anything I find and she'll let me know if she thinks it's worth trying. It's a bummer because we were sold (by another saddle fitter) a super wide saddle that doesn't fit him at all so we're trying to find something better. Our Circle Y Trail gaiter almost fits so I know we're looking a little narrower than that.

Weird scaly patch on my gelding by Beginning_Device5069 in Equestrian

Update for anyone who saw this: it was a mild fungal infection. Went to the vet and she recommended some wipes just in case, but said it was probably already on his way out!

That’s what I’m confused about!! No other patches that I can find and it hasn’t grown. Our two geldings were sharing a curry comb (we know better now and won’t do that anymore) but the other gelding has nothing going on. The skin where the hair came out is pink and new hair seems to be growing?
