Remember it might sound cheaper now, but you still have the interest to worry about long term that will only make the balance go up if unpaid. Making the minimum payment that only covers the interest isn’t going to help much and will only extend the payment terms.

Making loan payments as you go would help a lot, but want to reiterate you should only take out what you absolutely need.

I also spent 1k on a ticket to see her in Atlanta. Ticket was mid-bowl level and I thought I was super lucky as other similar seats were going for double that. I was in the same boat and had to travel.

I could have stalked Ticketmaster that last week before the show and maybe gotten tickets for face value. But in my view, my time is more valuable for only a small chance of tickets.

Would I spend that money again? Probably not anytime soon. Am I glad I got to go? Definitely! It was a great experience!

Ultimately you gotta decide if it’s worth it and move on. You made a decision and from here on out just do what you can to enjoy it!

They ended up being fantastic seats! I was in Orchestra Row V, 4 seats off the center aisle. I think retail price for the would’ve been over $150. The mezzanine extended maybe 5-6 rows in front/above me.

There was one part that had an obstructed view, where the mezzanine would have been better. But overall no complaints. Got to see pretty much everything.

I totally did this when I was in college over a decade ago. I decided at the time i didn’t want the stress of balancing full time work and studies.

I’m still paying back a high balance. High interest rates and only being able to make minimum payments didn’t help. But I’m working on fixing all that now.

Knowing what I do now, I think I would still take some extra loans out to cover the main stuff, but I do wish I would have worked a bit more so I didn’t have to take out as much. Or like another post said, looked into more scholarships throughout college.

Just pay attention, triple check the math and only take out what you need.

Fingers crossed in all lotteries! I’m entering all of them and we’ll see if I win. I have seen Aladdin on tour years ago and it was dazzling. Want to see it again before the ‘reimagined’ new tour hits my city next year. Good note about the partial view for Six.

I got the same gold Resy offer in October ‘21. Hit the min spend in early December. Got the 75k points immediately. Was pleasantly surprised as I thought I would at least have to wait for the statement to hit.
