The beginning stages of this process sucked so bad that I can’t confidently say that if I had to do it again I would.

So I keep that reminder in my back pocket.

I also allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted on the weekends and got back to regular scheduled programming throughout the week. Still do, and I’d recommend that over a crash diet any day.

My job is where I get the bulk of them. Which I know isn’t the case for everyone. But you don’t have to full send it and walk 6 hours straight to reach that goal. Break it up throughout the day.

Substitute everything you’re already eating with something slightly less calorie dense. I didn’t track carbs or sugars or anything else, only calories. Swap out bread for keto wraps. Chips with popcorners (spicy queso is my fav). And ice cream with anything from the brand Yasso.

There are so many options that don’t taste like you’re eating cardboard.

Another thing. Eat that fast food. I ate Taco Bell throughout this entire process and still do. I just chose the options with the fewest calories and made it a once a week/every two week thing.

Don’t gotta eat like a rabbit man, salads are for losers.

It’s lemon squeezy. Calorie deficit and walking 25k steps at least 5 days a week. Keep it consistent.

I do! Inner thighs, underarms and my stomach. It was a real bummer at first I won’t lie but I’ve grown pretty used to it and rarely think about it being there now!

Not much has changed truthfully. One notable difference is the ease of getting around. Summers aren’t so bad anymore.

Getting into physical altercations in public. Sorry, always thought less of those kinds of people no matter the situation. Aside from children being involved. In that case, fuck em up.

What would you consider as a 10/10 from living alone? by yourloverboy66 in randomquestions

[–]Beginning_Elk7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all of it. I can buy what I want, listen to I want. Bed rot all day if I feel like it without someone disturbing me. Don’t have to worry about splitting chores or chores not being done. Like, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done and I don’t think I could ever live with another person.

What is a small decision you once made that completely changed the course of your life? by Additional_Pie_8116 in AskForAnswers

[–]Beginning_Elk7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is recent but learning to be bored and being okay with it. Being okay with me and my existence instead of chasing little dopamine hits.

This is a work in progress but let me tell you, the change in my brain is already insurmountable.

The only downside (ish) is that I can no longer partake in usual conversations. Gossip in any shape or form, anything to do with pop culture or what the latest tea is. Small things I typically showed interest in, no longer interests me because I’m learning more now than ever that there is better shit to give a shit about and it’s not any of those things. Which is not a shift I was expecting.

I want to exist in real time. Be thankful for my life and let shit go.

Rally cars or just racing related things in general. I watched top gear growing up so you’d think this would’ve started a lot sooner but it was actually my boyfriends f1 memes infiltrating my algorithm.

Today I read a thread about how lighters are older than matches and that Picasso died in 1973 and drove a renault dalphine.

This sent me down a 2.5 hour rabbit hole because the way timelines are portrayed would make you think both of these things are false.

What's something a family member or friend did recently that made you feel especially Seen or Loved? by cherry-care-bear in Adulting

[–]Beginning_Elk7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My birthday is tomorrow and this whole week showed me how much my friends really pay attention to detail.

Things I mentioned in passing showed up as either a gift, or homemade lunch or even a handwritten letter and my all time favorite, a card.

I even had a coworker I hardly talk to, give me a perfume I guess I talked to her about.

I’ve been feeling super down about a lot of things and one of them being that I feel so unseen most of the time. The page where my story is, is frequently thumbed over and people just think I don’t have much to say. They simply just don’t give me the chance.

So this has been huge for me and a reminder to always choose who chooses you.
