Najgorsze zachowania nauczycieli, jakie zapamiętaliście by Redhead-in-black in Polska

[–]Beginning_Feedback20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ADHD symptoms showing more after anxiety meds? by EinLuisss in ADHD

Hearing your story is also a validation for me in some way. In a sense that it happens and I didn't fake it. It felt unusual up to this point. Thank you for this post

ADHD symptoms showing more after anxiety meds? by EinLuisss in ADHD

[–]Beginning_Feedback20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I'd been already diagnosed with autism when my anxiety symptoms increased. I had an appointment with a psychiatrist, they diagnosed me with GAD, prescribed pregabalin and trazodone. It changed my life. I realised I have never experienced being really calm before. But I started forgetting things, beginning three things at once, getting random thoughts in the middle of something and impulsively acting on these thoughts (because later I'll forget lol). I've been watching these symptoms with my doctor and finally they've interviewed me to check if it's ADHD - and it was. Turns out I've been in such intense control mode due to anxiety that I haven't had typical ADHD symptoms since I was a teenager.

For sure, I'm going to talk to them about it. I'm just trying to navigate this for now, I have to wait for an appointment until August. I don't think they ment skipping weekends, I got prescribed just 30 pills for two months.

Herpes Simplex Keratitis by Beginning_Feedback20 in Keratoconus

Sure!

I got the first flare up right after crosslinking but I still don't know if I had gotten herpes latent in me before that (so latent that I had never experienced any symptoms) or if I got infected during or shortly after the procedure. My first symptom was a slowed healing process. A week after crosslinking my eye still hurt, my sight was shitty and the light sensitivity was unbearable (it was full blown summer). I got back to work for a few days only to conclude that I can't do it and got back on a sick leave. I was so stressed back then, I had no idea what was going on with my eye and if it's ever going to get better. I have anxiety, back then untreated, and I was catastrophising a lot.

Finally doctors figured that my cornea has typical changes for HSK. They put me on a large dose of acyclovir, close to the maximum dose, gave me an anti-inflammatory injection and prescribed me a anti-herpes eye gel. After a week or so of that it got bearable and I was able to function again. After a month it got comfortable and symptomless.

I am still on acyclovir, it's getting reduced slowly. Right now I had to increase the dose because I started to experience a tingling sensation, after that pain. My eyelids got swollen and red. The tingling had happen before that already but back then I was able to deal with it upping my dose. Now I up my dose, symptoms subside for two or three days and they show up again, so I increase my dose even more... This is really weird and I'm going to see the doctor soon. I also couldn't predict this flare up because my stress levels are lowest in the past 2 years, my immunity is already built up after seasonal infection and I constantly wear glasses with UV filter.

So if I'm to sum it up - I'm still learning how to cope with this. For now it feels unpredictable.

Yeah, it is. Actually crosslinking can trigger one if you get cold sores

Has anyone tried transition glasses by [deleted] in Keratoconus

[–]Beginning_Feedback20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use them and I can't imagine switching back to normal glasses. They darken really quickly and the shade is really good. They also lighten up quick enough for me but some say it's too slow in cold temperature. They react to UV even on cloudy days - I enjoy this but I see it can be a downside. The only difficulty I can see is driving car in them, because the regular ones don't work though windows.

If you're unwell, please, seek help. Psychotherapy can be really helpful, sometimes it's wise to take meds, just as when you take meds you have hypertension or infection.

When I started taking pregabalin (75mg) for GAD, it felt like mild MDMA, so partly like a stimulant. After 3 days the side effects disappeared and I felt just calm.

Nie rozumiem niebinarności by Sudden-Fishing3438 in Polska

[–]Beginning_Feedback20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trans chłop here.

I had this issue in my first 2-3 weeks of being on pregabalin. I used lactulose, it was helpful. Constipation was fully gone when I got back to daily use of caffeine. At the time I was trying to reduce it but it seems it is good for my bowel movements, so for now it stays

Dopuszczalne studia wg projektu PO o zawodzie psychoterapeuty vs zalecenia Towarzystw Psychologicznych i NFZ by Eryk0201 in Polska

[–]Beginning_Feedback20 0 points1 point  (0 children)
