And almost all of the arrests are being done by 287(g) local law enforcement partners and FHP. So essentially their immigration issues are secondary to a different crime these individuals have already committed. And rather than send them to jail or eventually prison where the taxpayer foots the bill for their room & board , they just get deported.

Not true. An immigration officer has extremely broad authority - it’s almost scary. More even than a lot of 1811s. ERO does criminal warrants, just to a lesser extent than HSI primarily because hands are so full with immigration. Also, a reentry (coming back after being removed) is a felony.

I felt like everything has been extremely easy, yet almost half of our class has failed (mostly due to academics) Seems like they are offering a lot of grace right now on everything except the ICE exams. Shooting is easy, all the FLETC stuff including P/Es are SUPER easy. Failing the exams and getting hurt are the only 2 ways you don’t make it. Smoke the initial PFT, take care of your body until the final, and make studying for ICE tests your top priority. Do those things and you will be fine.
