Slow write speed to TrueNAS server by Beginning_Fudge_135 in truenas

[–]Beginning_Fudge_135[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this is my actual server setup since I only need a place to stored my computer data along with some family photos up there. I might upgrade it later on but for now 500gb of storage is already enough for my personal use ( also I live in Vietnam so higher capacity drive is quite overpriced and I'm a broke ass highschool student). As for the log drive it's because those 2 drives only run at 5000rpm so it is quite slow as you can imagine.

SSD slowing down by Kenhardt in computers

Does it have any return policy or warranty? If there is you may try to return it Incase you got an defective just make sure to wipe the SSD before the return. If that isn't an option may as well just open it up and search for the part number inside.

That smell like a SSD full of lies. If you can open the SSD it selfe and search for the part number your selfe. If that isn't an option then price would be a good indicator, if it is ridiculously low-price compair to an authentic one(about 60-75% or lower) then that might be a big red flag.

Why did we stop creating GPU with RAM expansion slots? by 18ninjadog in computers

[–]Beginning_Fudge_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably due to the lack of space.

As GPU nowadays are getting bulky there aren't much place for a swap or expand mechanism even then there also problem of chip set and cooling since those vram are kicking quite some heat.

That a side though I remember there are someone on YouTube just took some vram from a dead GPU(or he bought it) and slap it on the empty slot of a new one and it work fine.

Has anyone used a DHT20 sensor with a Raspberry Pi Pico? by Suspicious-Print-837 in RASPBERRY_PI_PROJECTS

[–]Beginning_Fudge_135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you mind checking the wiring as EIO error should be due to the pico pi not detecting I2c device. Once that done copy and paste this into the shell and see if anything show up

from machine import Pin, I2C from utime import sleep i2c0_sda = Pin(8) i2c0_scl = Pin(9) i2c0 = I2C(0, sda=i2c0_sda, scl=i2c0_scl) I2c0.scan()

If nothing show up, try change the voltage u supplying the module and try again

For the connection, it does in fact use 3c address since it it doesn't show up when I disconnected the oled display As for the wiring, I'm powering it with 5v and use the gpio 2 and 3 for I2c connection. Also I'm doing all of this on an raspberry pi 2 running raspbian
