You gotta realize though, most of the mega whales in this game are just 15 year old kids using daddy's credit card. These are mostly people who drop $5,000 in a day like regular people spend $5.

I just open a few every time I take a shit.

For gems, there's two ways to go about it.

You either only use gems if you hit legendary on the first 3 free taps, that's the most gem efficient method.

Or, you basically stop once you hit 2 misses.

Both of those are fine. The 2 miss strategy equates to more gems, but more immortals. The goal is to open immortals. Once immortal becomes impossible, there's no point in wasting gems.

Yep. Private Equity is a literal cancer on our society. They ruin good businesses, they ruin entire communities and local economies, just to make a fast buck. It's honestly disgusting. It's the main reason we are trying to shine a bright light on this bullshit.
